Not listening to his mother cost 23-year-old Nigerian Rasheed Wasiu dearly – more than five years of his freedom for something he did not do.https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cql7p9rd3gyo

Oh my God. What did I just read. Rasheed Wasiu story like many other protesters of the EndSARS protest are harrowing. A lot of politicians cashed in on EndSARS October 20/20 but don't want to share the burden. But thank God for people like Adekunle Taofeek of TIB for his intervention. This is why tyranny and dictatorship will grow in Nigeria because the politicians Nigerians are fighting for don't truly regard them. Also I never knew OPC are into crime fighting because when ever you see them they are always smoking cannabis and drinking shepe. Hence they can't fight herdsmen. Big ups to Adekunle Taofeek for his generosity. Shame to politicians that call for protest but won't bail protesters. |

I think the Nigerian law should include reparations for cases like this. Where do you want this guy to start from....to start writing JAMB or to start learning Work? What was his crime for being Jailed for Five years over nothing he is guilty of? This guy should be compensated with nothing less than N30M so as to start over his life |

Innocent people rotting away in prisons... While criminals and the guilty are sometimes freed or let go and are roaming society. Meanwhile, the entire Nigerian justice/police/prison systems needs emergency reforms. Infact, a state of emergency needs to be declared in those areas. These are issues I expect our leaders and those in charge to champion and tackle. But we have a shitty system that we have been operating since independence which no one feels should be updated and upgraded modernised and rejiged to handle our growing population. The only things the current leaders think of is how to win elections and remain in power. I pour spit on our leaders apologies to gehgeh! |

Now who pays for his wasted years in prison?....I think government should seriously start taking that into consideration....once someone is not found guilty, he or she should be compensated for wasting such years behind bars and those who took part in such process should be made to pay a big fine |

If terrorist are released as repantants individuals can't they also arrange for the release and pardon of this endsars protesters after all the SARS have been disband I think they have spent long enough for every crime they might have committed the NASS should look into this and sort for a presidential pardon |

I love Buhari and Tinubu. This is because these two are not partial. If you support them, they will give you the dividends of democracy. Katsina is paying tax to bandits while kwara will soon start paying |

Imagine, there are so many people in different kind of prison all over Nigeria, serving terms of what they know nothing about. May God help us all, if you are not in hospital, you are not in prison, you can eat three times a day, I swear to God if you are not grateful to God, you a special ingrate. |

Ironfaceman:Many policemen with families were kpaid, many innocent citizens were kpaid, private and government infrastructure were destroyed during the protest that was hijacked by Nnamdi Kanu and his people. OUR YORUBA PEOPLE suffered because of the stewpeed!ty of some Yorubas that joined the protest. You can take your ENDSARS to your state. Never bring it to Yorubaland again. |
