One of the hurdles to cross for the creation of Anioma state will be the conducts of a referendum among the peoples that make up the proposed area that will be Anioma which so happens to be in the 9 LGAs that make up Delta North Senatorial zone.

Let it be clear that the referendum will not include people from outside the Senatorial zone neither will there be referendum conducted else where.

I am saying this to let those who have become so invested in a matter that naturally shouldn't concern them know that Anioma state creation project will be determined first and foremost by the people of Anioma and no other people under whatsoever guise.

Where are those Igbo land grabbers that we cautioned that Anioma can never be a South East state, that they should take their state from orlu or adada , but they remained hell bent that Anioma is what they want.

My question to them, is Anioma your land, are you the ones to determine where Anioma should be , or the Anioma people? How far now, Ned kept fooling you guys that you can have Anioma against the will of the people, which can never work.

Anioma is not Igbo land, has never been , and will never be. Go and take your state from Igbo Land. Even anambra has refused to cede any part of their land for a new state, if anambra an Igbo state refused you any part of their land for another Igbo state, is it Anioma that has no ancestry linkage with Igbo that will allow you take their land to south east. Is it a crime that we the igbo speaking part of Delta wants to join the rest of our brothers in the south east....all over the world there is renewed sense of ethnic identity and we have spoken!
If we have referendum,I can assure you that over 90% of my Anioma people wants to join the rest of the greater Igbo nation. We don't hate other tribes in Delta,we only want to join our brothers while we keep our relationship with other beautiful tribes of delta.

Absolute Nonsense, nothing like referendum in The Constitution of The Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (As Amended).

They can do referendum for some people to decide if they want their own state ...but wudnt for some other people to have their own country

Moving the proposed State capital from Asaba to Orlu is a very sticky part of the whole arrangement. Most will definitely not agree. They should retain the Capital in Asaba, and move Delta State Capital to Warri

That's a good observation.

We have always maintained that ANIOMA state will consist of the Igbo 9 LG in present delta state but will join the south East zone simple.
Please stop insinuating anything cynical, ANIOMA state is a bonafide part of South East zone
