Getting into oil companies is very competitive and open to all Engineering fields, In Nigeria I will say less than 2% of all Engineering graduates enter Oil companies, Even if you study Electrical Engineering, you can be hired as a reservoir Engineer and be trained on the job. So what happens to the other 98%. That is what knocks out Petroleum for me unless you are heavily connected
