Honestly, I still cannot understand it. Here is a man whose record as governor is repeatedly associated with criticism rather than any meaningful achievement. The current Governor of Anambra State, a professor of Economics, has stated on several occasions that Pitobi’s administration increased the poverty rate in the state from 26 % to 53 %. There have also been accusations that he diverted state resources into his family business interests, while the brewery project he championed has been described by critics as little more than an expensive monument to poor judgment.

From the perspective of his detractors, there was hardly anything from his tenure that could be described as remarkable, and many people simply hoped to endure the end of his administration. What remains baffling is how a man viewed as politically underwhelming and deeply overrated has somehow been elevated by certain unquestioning supporters into the role of a national messiah. For many observers, that transformation is as absurd as it is difficult to comprehend.
What a long Epistle!
Pls let's conserve space here!

Maybe you should dig deeper into the reasons why he was impeached twice as governor and how he was reinstated by the court. If your hatred so blinded you from conspicuous facts then I can't guarantee help.

There is nothing I hate in my life as much as misrepresentations, lies and utter senselessness.

I am from Anambra State but not a fan of Peter Obi.

However, let me set the records straight for you. What Soludo said was that 'under Peter Obi, poverty rate declined from 53% to 14.7%'....he went ahead to reference the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics for the data.

So, what nonsense are writing here?

You may click the link below and hear Soludo again for yourself.

It's saddening Northerners are supporting an Igbo person to be president, but the same igbos are fighting one of their own.

They have never tasted presidency and now, Nigerians are backing them up, but their governors and top business gurus wouldn't want one of their own to be president.

People should be careful around Igbo people. ( Not all of them, some) If they can't allow one of their own to be president, then imagine what they would do to someone who isn't theirs.

You guys should support Peter Obi and stop all this witch-hunting and past stuff.

I still don't understand what tangible impact Pitobi had as Governor of Anambra State. What exactly can anyone point to as a lasting achievement? By many accounts, there was little of real substance to distinguish his tenure. The only controversy some people seem to recall is his decision to repatriate northerners from Anambra State, a move that remains deeply troubling to many.

Yet this is the same fraudster some illiterates now present as though he possesses some extraordinary vision for the presidency. It is astonishing that some Nigerians continue to treat political emptiness as though it were competence.
The people that wants him to be governor knows he is the only one that can rule Nigeria to doom. They want nigeria to fail so they can break away from nigeria. They are always against anything good moving the country forward, they want the country to fail.
They are setting Nigeria up for doom.

This is why I like Peter Obi
So any politician with this record should come forward

As a youruba Man. I really envy Peter Obi. And would be waiting patiently for the day when we will have a Governor of South west extraction that would replicate what he did in Anambra state.

I can't wait to have a Governor of a south Western state who like PETER OBI will rule a state for 8yrs;

1. He didn't borrow a Kobo.
2. He didn't use bulletproof car.
3. He never lived outside the state till end.
4. He met a debt of N36billion.
5. He met Onitsha as a terror zone.
6. He met his state at 27 in WAEC and NECO.
7. He met a kitchen called Govt House.
8. He met no Primary Healthcare.
9. He met no General Hospital in 14-LGs.
10. He met poor Pri. and Sec. school structures.

Before leaving;

1. Anambra wasn't owing any contractor or worker.
2. He cleared the inherited ₦36billion debt.
3. He brought in SMEs to the traders of the state.
4. He built the today's Govt House.
5. He built 18-Gen Hospitals and a state Specialist.
6. He built 178-Primary Health centres.
7. He fought and won the state against hoodlums.
8. He pushed the state 1st in 3yrs consecutively in WAEC and NECO.
9. He built brewery that employed over 3000 direct and indirect job seekers.
10. He even had to save ₦36billion and $150million for his successors to use and run administrations.
11. He drove 406 and Innoson throughout.
12. He didn't acquire any property anywhere while in office.
13. He never awarded any contract to family members.
14. His wife hadn't office, and allowed to mess with the state. She had her enterprises in UK.
15. Obasanjo had to come to Onitsha and spent 1-week because of peaceful environment.
16. He invited anti-graft to come and audit his administration, before handing over.
17. He refused to accept a piece of land, and gratuity and pension.
18. He never went close to State Govt House after handing over.
19. He never struggle to frustrate his successors policies.
20. Till today, he kept gifting multi-millions to Schools, Healthcare development, and entrepreneurship developments.
21. He even work as Chairman of SEC at the national stage without pay

If your definition of leadership is right you won't be against Peter Obi.

Only a selfish mind would see all these and still question it.

Peter Obi - a man that defiles Nigeria's version of leadership.

Ayodele Davis
U think they don't know all these😂
They must justify why they are been paid by APC na

How can u tell me that someone that built the biggest industrial layout in the whole of South East till today has no achievement.

Someone that attracted over 40 multinational companies and expanded Nnewi industrial areas to help boost local businesses
U don't know those guys in APC, they are evil and selfish
The funny thing Is, all these achievements are online in videos and pictures incase you can't travel to Anambra to see it live. But APC with their evil minds want to push their lies and propagandas to our throat and force us to accept it in this age of limitless information.
Seriously if anyone start asking me about obi achievement, I will start questioning both his/her education and level of political awareness

Go and cry to your fellow Igbo who made the post way back then. The same people who called him a failure back then are now praising him as their messiah just because they are desperate for an Igbo president.
Go and cryo to them, not me....I only reposted what they posted while he was Governor.

Some governors building projects are merely outlets to siphon public funds. Why construct new schools and hospitals when existing ones need upgrading?
When people say Peter Obi didn’t build this or that, it’s frustrating. He understands governance and approaches it like a business. In some countries, he wouldn’t need to explain himself—the nation would rally behind him and support his presidency.
Honestly, if this is how things continue, you may not see an Igbo president anytime soon—this isn’t a curse.
Re: Oseloka Obaze Replies Yul Edochie On Peter Obi's Record As Anambra Governor by akajos4real: 10:40am On Apr 24
Just a few questions to people.

How come a man like Peter Obi, you all claim had no impact as governor and of no consequence continue to bother people as to what he does and where he goes to. Why are these people so worried about him never becoming president.

Secondly, how come, it is only the party he goes to becomes troubled by those instigating from the outside?

Used Labour party platform in 2023 and probably won that election. The platform became troubled so it cannot be used in 2027.

ADC was okay and building. Immediately this same man Peter Obi joined who they claim has no political value. They moved in again, this time with INEC. Mission to ensure he does not use the platform. Yet they all claim he has no political value. Haba!!!!!!!

The painful part of all of these is that people that should know better now equate political performance in government to how much they can get from government because they have no job or what they do. So all their lives are dependent on government money that is stolen in the name of empowerment.

The benefit of the general public from government measured by MDGs and SDGs makes no sense to these actors and influencers that are paid to sell their conscience.

We have a long way to go.

Too much of hypocrisy of supporting Peter Obi.

If there is no record of Peter Obi answering any governance related questions coherently, I mean all what he always condemn, he has no solutions to any of them, why should anyone still be rooting for such person as the saviour of Nigeria

I am just imagining Peter Obi still in APGA, how big the party would have been today, ordinary small internal party issue , Peter Obi fled, he has been fleeing ever since in every little political internal issue.

Someone who is not interested in working with others with differences, how do you think such person can unite 200 millions of Nigerians?

That Peter Obi can never be the president of Nigeria is not out of hatred but because Peter Obi don't even have what it takes to be ordinary Nigeria National councillor president
Please, try and get a means of livelihood, it will greatly impact and shape your thinking faculty, and the things you say.
Here, Read: what Ngozi Okonjo Iwela had to say Peter Obi:
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, during her time as Nigeria's Minister of Finance, famously praised former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi as the "most fiscally responsible Governor in Nigeria". She noted that she specifically worked with him due to his dedication to fiscal responsibility and sound financial management.

2) Anambra I don't think have built any new school till date because most Igbo communities finished building schools in the 1980s .. My small communities have two government primary school and 1 big secondary school

It is always interesting to read the unintelligent and spurious lies of those whose paid day-job is to denigrate and make less a man whose shoes they remain unqualified to lace.

Certainly, some of us well-meaning Nigerians can match and definitely surpass the energies employed by the supporters of Ahmed Tinubu's nepotistic, incompetent and corrupt administration in circulating mendacious and libelous narratives against members of the opposition, but we will continue to be persuaded to keep our rebuttal civilized and factual.

Now, in respect of the claims regarding the tenure and record of Mr. Peter Obi. While public discourse and political critique are essential in a democracy, it is equally important that such commentary is grounded in verifiable facts rather than contested assertions or unproven allegations.

First, the frequently cited claim that poverty in Anambra State rose from 26% to 53% during Mr. Obi’s administration is not supported by any clear, universally accepted dataset from Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics. Poverty figures in Nigeria vary depending on methodology, timing, and survey scope, and no definitive evidence conclusively establishes this specific claim as fact. Presenting it as such is therefore misleading. At best, this is a prefabrication from a political opponent who is angling to be picked for VP position in 2031.

Second, available public records and widely reported accounts indicate that Anambra State experienced measurable fiscal improvements during Mr. Obi’s tenure. His administration has been credited with reducing the state’s debt burden and leaving behind significant financial reserves. These outcomes directly contradict assertions that his government lacked meaningful achievement.

Third, in the area of economic development, Mr. Obi’s administration pursued policies aimed at attracting private investment and strengthening key sectors such as education and infrastructure. Projects such as the Onitsha brewery, while debated in terms of long-term impact, were part of a broader industrialization strategy and resulted in operational economic activity, not merely symbolic expenditure.

Fourth, allegations that Mr. Obi diverted state resources into personal or family business interests remain unproven. While his name appeared in the Pandora Papers in connection with offshore holdings, no court of law has found him guilty of financial misconduct or illegal diversion of public funds. In the absence of such findings, these claims should not be presented as established facts.

Finally, Mr. Obi’s standing in national politics reflects a broad base of support across different demographics, as evidenced by his performance in the 2023 presidential election. Characterizations of his public perception as purely artificial or inexplicable do not align with observable political realities.

In conclusion, while differing opinions about public figures are inevitable, it is essential that such views are informed by accurate data and fair representation of the facts. Public debate must remain anchored in truth, not conjecture.

Oseloka Henry Obaze worked in Nigeria's diplomatic service and then worked for the United Nations from 1991 till 2012. In 2012 he became the secretary to the Anambra State Government in the administration of Governor Peter Obi.

He contested the 2017 Anambra State governorship election on the platform of the PDP and he was supported by Mr Peter Obi.

Oseloka Obaze was a member of Peter Obi's presidential campaign council ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

He left the Labour Party 11 months ago and disengaged from politics. He has now joined the ADC and is one of the 50 wise men and women selected to create ADC's manifesto.
No wonder he couldn't contradict what Yul Edochie said.
Even the lie Mr Obi flew about Anambra coming first in WAEC during his time was debunked by WAEC who said they had never and will never rank states because they are in 5 African nations and it is not part of their business.
Victor Umeh, very close friend of Mr Obi said Mr Obi didn't save any #75 billion because it was not in his handover note but the debt of #185 billion Mr Obi collected was there.
Mr Obi looks gentle to me too, maybe because of his woman voice, but he was and will be a disaster in governance.
He has nothing to offer except his tiny voice and humongous failure.
Only very wicked people and tribalists support him knowing his antecedents.
