Good afternoon, house. I need your advice on my next career move.

I hold an ND in EEE, a BSc in Computer Science, and a PGD in IT, but my passion is Law. I scored 207 in the 2026 JAMB for an LLB at UNIMAID.

Should I pursue an MSc in my current field or follow my dream of becoming a lawyer? I would appreciate your sincere guidance on which path to take.

Based on the country's economic realities with the future in prospect, dont you think going for law is a waste of time?

You said "passion" there's no reason why you should not pursue your passion though. Provided you have the money to fund the course, and you don't have any pressing project you NEED to work on.

If after your other pursuits, you want to do law for employment, then join the queue.

Are you considering quitting to pursue Law?
Is your currently employed skill/position such that you can freelance or be a consultant or take an academic leave?

Or have you gotten part-time Law Programs.
I wouldn't advise quitting to get a degree, after which you'll need to fund law school.

But still, depends on your age, and whether you have a family depending on that decent pay.

Then go for it.
I don't see why you need permission from nairaland to go for what could probably be a very enjoyable experience for you.
