Only God knows the deal Tinubu has with Chagoury

The Senate has approved $516 million loan to build the Sokoto-Badagry Highway.

Na deal to loot as much as they can from the treasury. Chagoury is known for helping Abacha steal from Nigeria in the 90's .

If Tinubu is frolicking with him to the extent he awarded the biggest contract in Nigeria's history to him, it only means their alignment is to siphon money from the treasury and they are not even hiding it. They don't even care about the optics because tell me why Tinubu's son will be seating on the board of a company owned and operated by the same Chagoury?

It's just unfortunate that some people will still cheer them on.

Just last month, they approved a loan of $6 billion.

Yesterday, 516 million for a road.

Subsidy is gone, but we have borrowed worse than the last 16 years combined

If u talk, they will say he is filling the infrastructure deficit we have in Nigeria. But at what cost ?

They celebrated the government surpassing it's revenue target few weeks ago, we stopped paying subsidy and the economy is allegedly on a bounce yet they keep borrowing and borrowing.

We were knocking Buhari for the various loans his government collected and even had to pledge our untapped crude as repayment method. Only God knows the kind of debt profile Tinubu will leave behind when he leaves the seat.

Una sure say Gbenga Daniel and Dapo Abiodun no go later burst each other's mouth as things dey go for Ogun State particularly that their Ìjẹ̀bú senatorial constituency?

The thing is Gbenga Daniel a former governor of Ogun state and close friend of Tinubu is currently the senator representing Ogun east senatorial district at the house of assembly.

Dapo Abiodun the incumbent governor who hails from the same senatorial district aims at clinching same ticket under same party to replace Daniel in the senate. He wants to retire from his governorship seat to the senate like most governors always nurse same ambition.

It seems none of them is prepared to back down for each other..... Earlier this week Dapo Abiodun's faction called a congress where they proposed to adopt him as the consensus candidate of APC for the senate ticket. Gbenga Daniel and his loyalists were denied entry into the venue even though they arrived very early.

Gbenga Daniel has now come out to say any attempt to impose Dapo Abiodun as the consensus candidate of the party will be resisted with full force. The two factions now seem to be set for a full showdown.

One is curious to ask who Tinubu might likely anoint to clinch the ticket eventually. Is it Gbenga Daniel his good friend or Dapo whom he christened "Eleyi" in 2022?
I see apo winning this, He has the powers of a sitting governor which will beat anything Daniels has in stock, WHat can happen is that Daniels "defects" to another party and hope he can win then after election decamp back into APC

Like Adelabu did in Oyo

Hmmmmm...The loss this time in the primaries might be louder
If true then he is not very smart. The GAC that rejected him last time, have they started liking him now?

To be fair, to bridge the infrastructural deficit/gap Nigeria is facing, bringing it on par with SA, Morroco and some other sane countries we need like $250-400b for infrastructure and electricity.

We cannot cover the lag behind with small sums like $10bn.

I have only three problems with this government;
1. The projects they're carrying out are too lopsided.

2. The cost of the projects are too inflated, from my observation so far I reckon they are probably using only like 20-30% of whatever is budgeted for any project and looting the rest without fear of consequences.

3. They say Nigeria will become like Venezuela and Zimbabwe if they keep paying subsidies and other stuffs, no problem, we can bear that, afterall nothing good come without sacrifice, it took sacrifice to build western and Asian countries to the level they are today, but why are the politicians who are saying we should live beyond our means and stop unnecessary spending not being embodiment of that? They're spending recklessly on themselves, sponsoring IG wh0®es to different countries and buying cars worth half a billion every moment while telling the citizens to be patient. It doesn't make sense.

Nigeria doesn't have a money making issue. Nigeria's problem is mismanagement and lack of consequences.

Timi Dakolo was present in the room during Roby Ekpo's HonestBunch Podcast interview.

At some point, he got emotional and dabbed his eyes with a tissue.

I saw the video too yesterday. That's why i'm suspecting maybe Roby didn't really tell them how bad the situation was in his marriage . Maybe that was why none of his friends really advised him to let go a long time ago

Ok you might be on to something. Listened to the first 7 tracks, no filler thus far and Legacy is definitely one of the best stuff I've heard in that timeframe above.

I see my girl Tems on there, I'm so happy she never went the pangolo route like the Ayra Starr, Yemi Alade dem dem wey just waste their fine voice with Awilo megedefegede pattern instead of balancing and dropping hooks that go nuclear like Tems did on Essence
Fun Fact, the Tems Verse is from the perspective of his wife...

The album is mainly about three things; his relationship with his City, his wife and hip-hop...

The first disk is his perspective around when he was 29...His wife is still his girlfriend at this point..

The second disk is him at 39(timeline is after the beef)... He's married to her at this point..

The first disk chronologically, happens after Born Sinner and around the time of 2014 Forest Hills Drive...

The Second disk itself happened because of the beef, it's beef inspired if you will...The album was originally going to be the first disk with some songs added and it had both a Drake and a Kendrick feature..

Apparently, he was feeling jaded with hip hop and the fuckery that happened in and around the beef(tabloids, stanwars, threats etc) kinda had him bummed, so in essence, he went back to the pure narrative of what made him start rapping, the beauty of HiP Hop...The second cover features his room with the Hip Hop Collections he had...He took that pic when he was around 13 or thereabouts...

Also, disc 29 is streamlined, think of it as a narration of his activities from just before he came back to Fayetteville after Born Sinner and during Forest Hills Drive and when he arrived... It's much more concise..

39 on the other hand is kinda an ode to HipHop with the samples and interpolations...

I don't want to reveal too much, but you'll probably pick up on many stories and bars as you listen more...

Also,if you're really into it, check out Friday Night Lights, Born Sinner and Forest Hills Drive to get the full picture...

His other albums and mixtapes focus on other things...

The same way they cheered Buhari for 8 years and suddenly realised he failed when he was gone...

Some of our people are not real man...

On a thread on Reddit about the bandit killings today, the discussion started leaning towards Christians being targeted and some girl said her Dad still preaches Tinubu like the gospel..

I wonder when it will be too late for Nigeria...

There's a dangerous form of Christianity that "Nigerian Pastors" are setting.

I used "Nigerian", because a lot of what they say, do is not what Jesus Christ was about.

You are telling your members that when they are in trouble, they should give your number to the kidnappers. Is there any sense in this?

No, I mean Ambode, everyone here is saying he's cooked and all that...But if people here know, surely he too must know...So what's the point of going through this futile process that will inevitably waste his money if someone's not possibly soft launching him again; to dip his toes into the water and gauge reactions of those that rejected him before so to speak...

Maybe it's all hubris shaa, typical politician's ego..

Plus some of then are supporting to spite opposition

It'd have been easier to put a "protective covering" on his members to prevent their kidnap.
