Nigerian skitmaker and content creator Amarachi Amusi, popularly known as Ashmusy, has revealed that she has frozen her eggs.

The influencer took to Instagram to share a video documenting the process, highlighting the various stages involved in egg freezing.

According to Ashmusy, her decision was driven by a desire to avoid rushing into the wrong marriage due to societal pressure tied to age.

The 30-year-old described the move as one of the best decisions she has made, noting that it secures her future as a mother—something she deeply values.

She added that she chose to share her experience to create awareness and support other women who may be considering the option.

Ashmusy also clarified that only her eggs from a single cycle were frozen, stressing that her reproductive organs remain intact and she can still conceive naturally.

She accompanied the video with the caption; "Join me to go freeze my eggs !!🤭 wow.. 🥺

This is by far one of the best decisions I have made.. because this will secure my future of being a mother 🥰 Which is very important to me.

Firstly, I won't be surprised if this is an advert for medical facility/person she mentioned...

These content people can go extreme to pursue whatever... you can ask that one that shaved her head bald claiming stage 4 cancer.

I don't even think it's okay to put out private stuff like this on the Internet but that's my opinion. And it's okay if she knows the implications of what she is doing (if true) before putting it out.

Lastly, she said the move secures her future as a mother
the procedure is not 100 percent. I remember a woman came crying recently on social media after her frozen eggs stored weren't fertile and it happened she was too old to conceive naturally again due to her age.

The story is here somewhere on nairaland. Someone who is not as lazy can help search and add the link.

My point is these procedures aren't as secure as she thinks and it's best to make hay while the sun shines. These things are supposed to act as backup of last resort and not the first line of decision or on flimsy excuses like the one she has given (still in my opinion) most of the ladies are just buying time because they want to play around and sow their wild oats (I don't know if that phrase can be used for women too) for as long as they can. They want to eat their cake and have it.

Like I said people should make hay while the sun shines instead of putting all their hope on securing things that aren't certain. I know a woman that did 4 IVF procedures. She needed a child badly. She was preparing for the 5th before sadly she lost her life untimely.

I wish her good luck in her endeavors though in securing her future!
