The fact that somebody was arrested for a crime doesn't mean he committed it. On the thread it was stated he had previous arrests, emphasis on the plural. Do you really think if he committed those acts he'd be released. I don't think so.

The thread also mentioned he is been kept somewhere pending removal, I am guessing it is deportation. But if he is guilty, why deport him upfront and not purnish him first.

Personally, I think somebody probably doesn't want him to stay there

It baffles me when a person leave nigeria for a better living abroad, which their call "saner climes" and when their get there they start doing drugs, rape, stealing and doing all sort of illegal activities, should i call it a curse or laziness.
If going to abroad is to be doing illegal and illicit activities then why not stay in Nigeria, because its 80 percent sure that you're not getting away with any crime committed and you will be deported unlike Nigeria where we are use to ourselves.

There's no greater punishment than deportation for a Nigerian in the USA right now.
