BREAKING NEWS: Starting July 1, 2026, Nigeria 🇳🇬 will introduce a new "green tax" surcharge on vehicles with high-capacity engines (2,000cc and above) as part of the 2026 fiscal policy measures. This tax aims to encourage cleaner energy by placing a 2%–4% levy on high-emission vehicles, while smaller vehicles, mass transit, and electric vehicles are exempted.

Lol.

Bat wants Nigerians to pay for goods and services at the same rate as developed countries.

He wants to introduce tax polices similar to developed countries.

Fine. Approve wages that are commensurate to those same developed nations. No. That is when he starts speaking grammar.

Nigerians, 2027 general elections around the corner...

I knew something was coming.

When I saw the 'good news' about CBN transfer fees yesterday, I suspected they would be launching something bad within the next 60 days. I didn't know the evil was already done.

While many other countries have been doing this to drive people toward electric vehicles and reduce their carbon footprint, this one in Naija is nothing but another way to collect money.

God help us all.

Expect more increases in all things especially transportation.

Failed govt.

Just imagine a poor man in Buhari's govt still becoming poorer in this hopeless govt...terrible.
