The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has stated that electricity tariff across its franchise states will increase effectively from July 1 2023.

Effective July 1st 2023, please be informed that there will be an upward review to the electricity tariff influenced by the fluctuating exchange rate.”

Under the MYTO 2022 guidelines, the previously set exchange rate of N441/$1 may now be revised to approximately N750/$1 which will have an impact on the tariffs associated with your electricity consumption.”

For customers within band B and C, with supply hours ranging from 12 to 16 per day, the new base tariff is expected to be N100 per kWh while Bands A with (20 hours and above) and B (16 to 20 hours) will experience comparatively higher tariffs.

For customers, with a prepaid meter, we encourage you to consider purchasing bulk energy units before the end of this month as this will allow you take advantage of the current rates and potentially make savings before the new tariffs come into effect.

For those on post-paid (estimated) billing, a significant increment is imminent in your monthly billing, starting from August.

Not surprised, subsidy on electricity is gone too.

Now it's free market capitalism that punish the lazy and idle more severely.
It will soon reach the politicians who live on a fake life of free money.

All their accounts are now flagged on surveillance by CBN, NFIU and EFCC. Social media addiction that kills productivity and fuel wastage of scarce resources can now go down too. Nigeria is on the forward March with Asiwaju Tinubu.
God bless Nigeria for ever!

1. 7.5% VAT on diesel
2. Fuel subsidy removed
3. Electricity tariff hiked
4. University tuition increased to 400K+
5. Naira devalued
6. Same old politicians lined up to continue the looting

While
7. FG Votes ₦24 Billion For 10th NASS Members’ Accommodation
8. Elected Politicians, Judges Set To Get 114% Salary Raise

The only solution is Nigerians must shun tribalism and religion expecially (y0l0ba Muzlems) and hold these politicians responsible. Or else we will all die.

Interesting

They should give everyone prepaid meters.
That way we ration our usage and only pay for what we consumed. Anything less is fraud.

Lol

May increase in price of electricity favour me and my family

I’m saying the prayer that Ronu people said we should be saying.

I’m sure if they go to NEPA office and shout “Yoruba Ronu”, their own price will be reduced.😏

Subsidy on electricity is also gone! Eti je aaro ati Osan papo, it's now time of reckoning.

Anyone who still wants to keep having multiple children he or she can not feed, clothe and train but hoping that govt will do so can go ahead. It is waste of time calling any youth lazy again o.

Even companies will start charging you for using their data and electricity to charge your phone to do your social media idle fun time again.
