Patiks:Its not only wars you know. Its all manner if barbarism and atrocities. But since yo asked for one war, let me ask what was the offense of the people of Jericho. So much for your reading the Old Testament with crystal ball that's filled with murky waters of bias and self-righteousness.I see your impulse is to defend your scripture. That is normal and understandable. Nonetheless the instances of atrocities commissioned by Yahweh in the OT are well known. I did not invent them and they have formed the basis for much controversy over centuries of academic discourse. So dont lash out at me. |

DeepSight:Hmmm! Yahweh has committed so much atrocities that you find it so hard to mention one. By the way, don't bother since the people of Jericho were saint in your eyes, every other si-ck depraved mind Yahweh dealt with will definitely be presented as saints. |

nairalanda1:The gadaffi point was libya was doing well and developing in the right direction but due to his patriotism and good ideas for Africa as a whole his case became just like the dog that was given a bad name just to hang it....so stop telling me about anyone actually wanting a peaceful and progressive Africa in heart. |

Patiks:Sigh. This is disappointing. Just tell me their offense. Because this sounds escapist. You actually asked me to cite one unjust war. I cite one and you then claim since I don't know the justification then I am a zombie and you leave it at that. Think about the above. Is that a rational approach from you. Why then did you ask me to cite an example if you were only gonna reply like this. Please go ahead and tell me their offense even if I am a zombie. Thanks. |

DeepSight:the ten plagues of egypt where all the first sons were lost wetin concern the m,asses with pharoah and moses beef? what was a dk measuring contest between pharoah and moses- rather than direct plague and pestilence to pharoah it was spread to the every day citizen who had nothing to do with it. the toads could have rained in pharoahs house. the sons in pharoahs palace, boils in his household - but instead everyone else was collateral damage - the same thing trumps army of religious posers are going for same as the story of job where satan, a fallen angel somehow got the same powers as God and agreed to wipe jobs whole family who had nothing to do with it as a dk measuring contest. then after he passed the test he was dashed a fresh family - almost as if family are npcs that can be discarded and replaced at will |

GloriousGbola:Thank you brother. And the problem is that the OT is littered with too many absurd unjust stories like this. Look at the instance where Yahweh murdered 70, 000 Jews because David conducted a census that Yahweh instigated him to conduct! I am sure Patiks will call me an idiot for this again. |

Mattswaggz:Ghaddafi was a bad leader. I've said it...Ghaddafi was a bad leader. I assume you are a christian, so let us turn to the book of 1 samuel chapter 13 vs 19 There were no blacksmiths in the land of Israel in those days. The Philistines wouldn't allow them for fear they would make swords and spears for the Hebrews Ghaddafi had all that oil money, and instead of using it for things like developing a domestic industry that could produce anything, he was sharing the money The fact is Libya had less than 6 million people, and was then producing 5 million barrels per day. Ghaddafi did not develop his blacksmiths. At all One secondary school teacher of mine once said that the reason why Saddam Hussein lost gulf war 1 (this was before gulf war 2). was because Saddam bought all his weapons from abroad. Including the USA. When war broke out, the USA was able to counter the Iraqui army because they knew the weapons their boys were using Same thing with Ghaddafi. Same thing Also keep in mind that oil would soon become redundant. When that happens where would Libya be? Ghaddafi did not develop his blacksmiths, so he was a bad leader. And his plan would have created a currency based on oil revenue. That is a flimsy basis for a African currency. At least Euro is based on how industrially produictive the EU is. |

nairalanda1:It would've still served it's purpose before oil gets obsolete.....isn't the dollar tied to oil as well?. . |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by nairalanda1(m): 12:26pm On Apr 27 |
Mattswaggz:Dollar is tied to industrial productivity and other productivity more than oil. No way the amount of oil would have supported an African currency even if ghaddafi used all of the oil in his hands. A good African leader developes their blacksmiths. Not living on passive income from a resource that has volatility in price |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by Mattswaggz: 2:00pm On Apr 27 |
nairalanda1:Mostly true but that doesn't back your initial point. |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by nairalanda1(m): 3:45pm On Apr 27 |
Mattswaggz:You've just agreed with me that an African currency backed by oil doesn't make sense At the same time you are disagreeing with me on the need for all African countries to use their natural resources to develop industrially. So you want us to remain backward. Right |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by Mattswaggz: 3:57pm On Apr 27 |
nairalanda1:Lol....I didn't agree with you entirely that it doesn't make sense....it will serve it purpose though temporarily as I said earlier but not entirely senseless. Secondly my disagreement with you was about your claim that the west wants a peaceful and progressive Africa as it would even aid their interest positively when in reality, from the very moment they came here they've shown otherwise. |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by nairalanda1(m): 4:09pm On Apr 27 |
Mattswaggz:But west wants a peaceful and prosperous Africa. Take China. China is where it is today not because the west loves them, but because they invested in tech and they stopped doing the socialist economy you guys love. And industries because they realised that they didn't have enough resources Anytime I say we should do the same in Nigeria on this site, you guys tell me that we have oil therefore we should develop. West prefers a first world developed Africa..More disposable income to buy more western goods. More places for potentially cheaper manufacturing. That's why the largest markets for western goods are in China self. If you no get am, sorry. Like I said many of you know that Tinubu is a bad leader, you don't know why he is a bad leader |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by Mattswaggz: 7:35pm On Apr 27 |
nairalanda1:Well there is no need going to and fro if you can't see the handwriting on the wall....in as much as we dislike ourselves and we prioritize the things that hardly matter....what you paint the west as towards Africa is far from the truth. It is obvious for all the see....while the Chinese and Arabs(gulf states mostly) tend to be more patriotic and try to put their own interest first in their dealings with the west, Africans to some extent don't and that's some of the difference....their developments is from self efforts and drawing clear and defines lines in their relationship with the west and not because the west would've preferred them like that. |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by nairalanda1(m): 6:18am On Apr 28 |
Mattswaggz:The West wants a peaceful Africa. Dead bodies and refugees can't buy Apples and Laptops and Chevys |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by Mattswaggz: 12:07pm On Apr 28 |
nairalanda1:🥱Yep....that's why they destroyed cities and carted away artifacts and after which they yolked different religions, race, cultures, languages etc as one to enable easy division if needed in the future and also made it very difficult for them to disintegrate...those are good signs of goodwill aren't they?. . |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by nairalanda1(m): 1:08pm On Apr 28 |
Mattswaggz:Which every civilization, including African civilizations have done, so I don;t know why you are here telling me that. |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by Mattswaggz: 1:23pm On Apr 28 |
nairalanda1:They've done joined 2-3 people with different mentality together to enable easy division?. ......or do you think countries like Nigeria being one today was done by coincidence?. |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by nairalanda1(m): 1:34pm On Apr 28 |
Mattswaggz:Every civilzation has done the same as the West. And still does. |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by Mattswaggz: 3:23pm On Apr 28 |
nairalanda1:And you still think that looks like the doings of someone who wants the people he/she forcefully choked up together to progress huh?. . |
| Re: Explosions And Gunfire As Armed Groups Launch Attacks Across Mali(photos) by nairalanda1(m): 3:26pm On Apr 28 |
Mattswaggz:The way you guys behave, it's like you believe that the black man has no mind or brains, that everything good or bad he or she does is by external control NOble savage racisim You will have bad leadership because you do not want to do self introspection. Adieu. |
