Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is currently in a closed-door meeting with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, in Ibadan, Oyo.

The Tuesday meeting, which reportedly took place at the Governor’s Office in the Secretariat, Ibadan, was held after Makinde hosted an opposition summit held in the state capital.

The summit had drawn key political figures and stakeholders amid ongoing coalition talks ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Although the agenda of Obi’s meeting with Makinde was not officially disclosed as of the time of filing this report, it is widely seen as part of intensifying political consultations across opposition circles.

The development follows a similar closed-door engagement between Obi and former President Goodluck Jonathan, which also generated widespread attention.

Speaking on the rationale behind that meeting, Obi’s former campaign spokesman and National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, Yunusa Tanko, said the consultations are part of a broader strategy to build national support.

“It is a visit to our national leaders… to appeal to them to give support to the candidature of Peter Obi based on available facts that the Nigerian youths have made up their mind,” he said.

Tanko added that the outreach is aimed at fostering unity and addressing perceived gaps in national leadership representation.

After the Amala meeting in Ibadan where Atiku was already being treated as the Presidential candidate of ADC, the agulu clown called Peter Obi has now realized that Seyi Makinde has even snatched the VP ticket he was banking on for consolation.

He has rushed to Ibadan to beg Governor Seyi Makinde maybe to leave the VP slot for him.

He would still receive the same treatment Wike gave him when he went to beg Wike in 2022. Obi is a learner in Nigerian politics.

Seyi that has sealed a deal has far back as February. The mole in Makinde's cabinet is always supplying Fayose with 1st hand and genuine information.

My friend go and deputize Atiku, if not, you're OYO. Love Tinubu or hate him, but the fact remains that dude is a master tactician. He wanted to become president after Jonathan, but realized that he can't do it alone without Buhari. So he aligned with Buhari. They formed APC and dethroned PDP. Then, he waited for his turn for good eight years, and he was busy building up massive structures as he waited. Now, every Tom, Dick and Harry in ADC wants to be president all at once especially Obi, Amaechi and Kwankwaso. No patience, no structures, no nothing!!! Even though age is still very much on their sides. They don't even know that they have to align with Atiku first, dethrone APC, then allow Atiku, who has more political resources and structures to go first, before their turns. Just imagine if Obi had deputized Atiku back in 2023 after they gave Buhari a run for his money way back in 2019? Just imagine?Perhaps we won't be where we were today! Obi, vice president is much better than social media president! Deputize Atiku first, become V.P, then build massive structures from there up, and you're good to go as President in waiting!!! Emotions dosen't win you the presidency! Patience, political resources and structures does the job! Sometimes, l really wonder if these people have seasoned political advisers and analysts sef? I really wonder...

After he does not get any party ticket before the deadline, all his supporters with Obi/kwankwasiya display picture on X would immediately change their display picture to that of Nnamdi Kanu again.
