Politically, the current scenario gives us the opportunity to confirm the political wizardry of the President. I have never benefitted directly from any government in power, so, the person that wins means nothing to me though I will vote for PBAT because (1) I want to see where the reforms will take Nigeria to in 8 years (2) Nobody is presenting anything new especially from the self-acclaimed opposition. Fingers crossed, we can have a better Nigeria with a new system; not with the same system and the same people that had been there from 'ages past'.

During thr last election, the federal govt, the CBN and others did everything possible to spoil Tinubu's chances and he still won.
There was shortage of cash, food and everything and he still won.

In all fair play, it should be a southern candidate that the opposition should rally round. Whether Tinubu or whoever wins, the turn of the north is 2031. The north should rather support Obi to run for one term, then the ticket goes back to the North. In the absence of this, let Tinubu continue till 2031.

The point is that equality and fair play must be seen to be in place, otherwise there will continue to be rancor and cries of marginalization. The North should rally behind a southern candidate, whether it is Tinubu or Peter Obi, or whoever. Otherwise, the opposition will end up scattered again. Any mistake for Atiku to emerge as the flagbearer with Obi as the vice, that ticket will be dead on arrival. Buhari supported Lawan Ahmed to be APC flag bearer, but Tinubu, El-rufai and some APC governors fought against it. Buhari engineered Fuel and naira scarcity and change of currency to disuade people from voting for Tinubu. If Tinubu never feared North where he lost in Kano, Kaduna, Katsina and some other northern states, yet, he won. Is it now that he is powerfully in charge that he will be fearful of north?
