As dynamically interesting it is that several teams won UCL from England actually changes nothing.
It would make a whole lot of sense if the total UCL won in England is more than Spain but it is otherwise. That argument actually shows how dominant they are because how can just two teams still leads others with many teams that have won.
They are so strong in their country and yet way more stronger in Europe as a whole.
Until they are overtaken by total number, nothing to celebrate yet o.
Not true bro. The dominant league is the one whose more teams have won the European leagues and not one in which only two teams have won. It simply shows that Epl has strong teams that can win the champion league. Even if Madrid and Barca like make them win 100 CL together epl with 6 teams that have won it is the strongest league. It shows that if man utd or arsenal and co do not tight their belt very well, Westbroom can come to the CL and win it and thereby represent the EPL very well as Man utd or arsenal and co would. but that can’t be said of laliga teams if not for just Madrid and barca

It's not about Atletico struggle, it is about what Atletico has taken out of Arsenal tonight. It is about the war, the battle, the intensity, the energy, the tiredness..... Atletico na bad team, they have nothing to lose.
Arsenal will not recover quickly from today's match to play Fulham on Saturday.
Leave us to worry about that. This is the kind of headache the big boys want. I'm sure your club cannot afford the luxury of this kind of 'headache' because una don crash out since. grin grin

Make una concentrate on trying to qualify for next season ucl, if at all una go qualify sef grin

If it wasnt a penalty, why didn't the ref withdraw the yellow card he gave to the athletico player that committed the foul?

The result is fair enough. I hope Arsenal would be more ruthless during the second leg.

The yellow card was given to another player for "Arguement"

That was a 50/50 contest, and the Arsenal player didn't have the ball.

so in your not arsenal fan perspective, why was the penalty not given?
cos it wasn’t one as shown in slow motion, even VAR ruled it out. Eze tried to make a meal out of it. There are no conspiracies against your club, that theory is getting boring

Guy, arsenal defence strong well, na only man city fit beat arsenal currently. Unbeaten since UCL started this season. They won't give it up in the finals if they eventually qualifies.

With the way we defended this night.

Bayern or PSG should be afraid of Arsenal.

Our attack was lethal and am sure we will score 3 unreplied goals against PSG or Bayern
PSG no be Athletico o. You think say Kvarashkelia na Lookman mate? Dembele mad pass Alvarez o. Mind you, Athletico created more chances o. Didn't you see that Raya had to make more saves than OBlack? See the stats na. I'm an arsenal fan but I face reality. Did you see the way the ball goes from Matinelli to Gabriel to Raya in 2-3 seconds? Arsenal was passing the ball back to much. I see no reason why he can t play midfield trio of Eze Rice Odegard. Rice was doing everything from defensive to attacking. Eze and Odegard combined would have be more creative.

This is football not basketball.

Go and watch NBA where the score over 200 goals for your entertainment.

They gave it up in 2019 against Chelsea in the Europa. They will give it up again. PSG or Bayern will destroy them.

There's a difference between goals and points.

And an NBA game that has more points, especially three's will be more entertaining than the game with less points.

There were more shots today and we saw two great defenses at work.

Defence will win you games.

The match is entertaining even to neutrals except you.

Also kindly avoid watching the second leg so you dont get bored

1 - 1 score line is an outcome in football.

So what's the fuse about a draw in a football match?
5-4 scorelines only shows the level of porosity of their defense.

You are very correct.
But my question is why are these two still leading Europe? The reason no one can compete with them in their league is simply because they are so good to the extent that they are still leading Europe.
It would really be acceptable if they aren't still leading in Europe. This thing is simple!!!

Kalulu44:
That's your own opinion and argument, to me it shows the other league is nothing without their two big teams.
And that's the reason both will always qualify for ucl every year bcus no competition in their league.
Imagine the horrible form Madrid has display this season yet they're still 2nd.
Take that ucl league phase as an example, can you imagine the position the both team found themselves.
Then use that and tell me if both team are in EPL they will be qualifying every year.
La liga 20 ucl won by only two teams, that shows the league is monopolize by two team who use their money to buy the best players others in the league can't afford.
Contrast it to 15 won by 6 teams from EPL. That shows competitiveness.
If Arsenal can win it, it shows EPL is not depending on one or two clubs for ucl success. Let that sink in
Football is not always 1+1 o

If I use the same line of argument, you will see that's not always the case. That same horrible Madrid whitewashed Mancity home and away who happen to be the 2nd in EPL and even potential winner of EPL this season. Also have won Carabao cup o, and already in FA cup final.
Does that mean Madrid will win all the teams in England, the answer is NO.
EPL is highly competitive, no doubt but yet all various teams have won UCL yet cannot matchup to just two winners from Spain. The answer is simple, they are so good that they have the numbers in both their league and Europe.

You still gave same flawed example. I never said Madrid and Barca are not good or even better than most EPL teams.
I said does it mean without their two no other team from their league can win the ucl?
They're doing well in both their league and in Europe bcus their two have monopolize their league thereby making others totally inferior.
And talking about Madrid beating City, they lost to the same city in the league phase.
Lastly, my argument is: I am not denying how good Barca and Madrid are. But without them, can't another team from la liga win the ucl?

If it is about monopoly, how come Spain still leads Europa league titles at the same time 🤔🤔

It is expected that "supposed most competitive league" should be leading the title charts in all European competition.

Your argument is valid UNTIL Spain is overtaken in the title numbers, so relax till that time. This is the summary of my argument.
