A high-powered delegation of Lagos APC leaders and Governance Advisory Council (GAC) members, led by the GAC Leader, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, on Wednesday, 29th April 2026, formally presented the party’s consensus governorship candidate, Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat @drobafemihamzat , to the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu @SenRemiTinubu , at the State House, Abuja.

The delegation, which reflected strong party unity and leadership, included the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu @jidesanwoolu ; former Deputy Governors, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye and Otunba Femi Pedro; Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs and former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire; Lagos State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi; and prominent GAC members, Alhaji Seriki Bamu and Alhaji Mutiu Are.

Also in attendance were distinguished lawmakers including Senator Ganiyu Solomon, Member of the House of Representatives, Hon Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, and Senator representing Lagos East, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, further underscoring broad-based support for the candidacy and the party’s united front ahead of the governorship race.

Lagos state is Tinubu’s family business. They are trying hard to do same in Abuja. Empire of thieves. The so-called pastor wife does not even hide her evil calloboration with her husband to keep stealing the people's common wealth. Posterity will judge them accordingly.

This is a move to balance the political representation as far as Lagos State governorship seat is concerned in term of religion since Ambode has served for 4years and Sanowo-Olu is about completing 8years as christians.
