so you guys are begging for referals
but back in previous pages i was asking for starlink to reduce price or bring atleast affordable plan like 1tb 80mbps for 25k

you guys were there abusing me and defending startlink, that 57k is very okay for you guys
now you guys are here begging for referals

nigerians are just slaves, always quick to defend their oppressors while suffering
Paying 57k is not really the problem. I can comfortably pay that 57k with other subscribers using my network, but if i can actually get referral and use that 57k for something else, that will be really nice😎..
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 2:51pm On Apr 24
Nobody is begging for referrals. As long as starlink offers a referral program, people would still use it no matter the subscription fee. It's a win-win for both the referee and referrer even if Starlink's subscription fee is 5k/month. It's just common sense to refer and also use a referral link.

Generalising and calling folks slaves cause of referrals sounds extreme don't you think?
You don't have to use starlink if you can't afford one. You don't have to use a referral link too.

I already have a third party router TP link
Please which one do you have? Do you mind sending a picture?

I am looking for a means to extend the signal/coverage of my starlink Internet to about 100m outdoor.

Grateful for any ideas or pointers

57k or $40 is the cheapest in the entire world that starlink is asking for their service. Yes, only Nigeria. Other African countries pay around 50-60usd and in Europe and USA it gets to 120usd.

We are actually enjoying.

Settled for the Airtel 5G ODU 3 days ago, and so far it has been far better than those worthless Glo, MTN, and Airtel sim networks

I will manage my keke Airtel ODU until I can raise funds for my private jet, Starlink. This is how it will go between me and my neibours henceforth.

Airtel is the worst network among all 3 (MTN, Glo, Airtel) in my area. You can't even load Nairaland's home page with it, Glo takes minutes to load, MTN is hope and pray.

With ODU NL it is taking seconds (not split seconds though) to load. How I wish Glo had something similar to ODU, I would have opted for it.

Buying Starlink is not my major issue for now, the subscription cost is. I intend to secure at least a year's subscription cost somewhere safe. Already have 6 months saved, 6 more to go.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 8:09pm On Apr 30
I feel you.
Starlink has been expanding their subscription packages. Some countries now have 100Mbps, 200Mbps and Max plans. In fact, starlink leases their hardwares to customers in some countries.
I believe very soon we're going to get something similar in Nigeria.
Imagine 100Mbps plan @ 20k/25k would be a hit for us.

Plus their hardware fee is expensive for most users. Even the Mini at 350k is still expensive. The high hardware and subscription fees should be mostly attributed to the Nigeria's failing economy.

One of the reasons I bailed on Starlink. The yearly subscription cost is something else for me even though I have the money. You can go to the Starlink thread and order through a referral link there so you can get one month credit sub free whenever you are ready.

Please make me understand. On inputting my location in Delta state. I got the response of "Due to high demand in your area, only business plans are available in your area.

On the checkout order page, the price display were:

Residential: #57000/month
Standard kit: #590000
Shipping & handling: #36300,
pre-order: #32000
Deposit due today: #29767.44

Does it means even the #57k residential plan is not currently available in my location, as such paying the total due today only adds me to a wait list, with no known date? So if i should pay that money now i will have to wait till only God knows when.

So if i don't want to wait, the only option left is to opt for the business plan, which according to what is being displayed, cost around #226,000/month for 2TB.

Yea, it is....compared to Airtel's 300k per year if I go for the 20MBPS 180 days twice.
