Adebutu Declares 2027 Ogun Governorship Bid Under PDP by INSIDEOGUN(op): 4:54pm On May 01

The 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Oladipupo Adebutu, has formally declared his intention to contest the state’s top seat again in the 2027 general elections.

Adebutu conveyed his decision in a letter dated April 30, 2026, addressed to the Ogun State leadership of the PDP and routed through the party chairman in Odogbolu Local Government.

The letter, made available to media on Friday by his media aide, Afolabi Orekoya, stated that the former candidate had informed party structures at both state and local levels of his renewed ambition.

Adebutu, in the correspondence, thanked party leaders and members for their support and loyalty, urging them to close ranks ahead of the next electoral cycle.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP, describing himself as a loyal and law-abiding member who remained dedicated to strengthening the party’s footing across Ogun State.

Well meaning people need to start joining politics , leadership role shouldn’t be for political compensation , Buhari 8Years of Brutal governance on masses as he enjoyed his land days in Maybach and Aso Mansion wasted just like that, Tinubu 4 years is another hell , these near grave people should go and rest, all we need is electricity and security so we can do our business not just collecting tax everywhere, on the road, electronics tax , which one is security fee? Where is the security? The man that created confusion in power distribution with Band A to E has threw the poor into total darkness
I pity Ibadan people, they should expect everything in social classification when he becomes their governor, I bet there will be band A road to Band E road in Ibadan soon , only the rich will be driving on good roads, only roads in band A areas will be done

Dead on arrival. Two consecutive Governors from the same town will never happen in Ogun State. He lost his chance to govern Ogun at the last election.

But he should remain visible, who knows, luck might smile at him in the near future.

Remo and Ijebu refused to play the same politics even though Egba and Owu have been playing the same politics for their common interests

OGD 8 years, DA about to complete 8 years( both are Remo's) and also from Ogun East which Ijebu is part of.

Anyone from Ogun East shouldn't be showing face for the governorship position in 2027

People who don't want Adebutu peg their arguments that he is from same zone as the incumbent who is about to round off his 8 years tenure after which power should go to another zone. Now, this is the same sentiment that Obedient share but on national politics, Buhari just finished North's 8 years tenure and Atiku ran against other Southern candidates even when Buhari, a Northerner was about completing his 8 years tenure. Atiku lost the election but has failed to learn the lesson not to run against zoning. He wants to run again in 2027 when it's still the turn of the South till 2031. How then do you want Obi, who is very popular in the South to convince his Southern voters that the best he can go for is VP to a Northerner when it's the turn of the South and after he has tested presidential election in 2023 and did marvelously well to the shock of even Tinubu and the entire APC.

They can afford to hire the best doctors to be found, yet they grow into fat pigs that must be kept alive with buckets of medications.

Perhaps those doctors chartered by the rich know that allowing their wealthy patients to eat like hogs, avoid exercise, and balloon in weight all translates into job security for the doctors, at least until their patients die decades early from heart attacks or hypertension.
