You can hardly blame Fashola. He was equally an active minister but he just couldn't achieve much because the head of government at the time never prioritize infrastructure and as such, much funds were not made available for him.

The priority or legacy of any Head of government will determine the sector that would enjoy the attention...and as far as Tinubu is concerned, he believes if the roads are good, economy would improve, money would circulate better and the people's movement would not be impeded. So, he funds road projects and the minister, being an active civil engineer himself, followed up closely to ensure delivery.

But that is wrong. What we need is human capital development. Security. Bandits can operate on completed roads, bandits stopped a train already, can plant explosives to blow up train tracks. We need more investment in farming and that still falls under security because farmers have been driven by bandits.

Always nice to have a good road. The scenery is beautiful. About the road itself.... it looks great for cars and light vehicles.... but doesn't seem to have a foundation to bear heavy vehicles. I'm worried about drainage ...flooding...erosion ...and landslides. From the video ... at the beginning ... there's a wall of soil right next to the road ....no drainage ...no retaining wall to prevent a landslide in case of heavy rains. What happens when the water runs off?...carrying soil with it? Farther down...the road is lower than the land level...what will happen when it rains?....I can see the road being flooded and after the rains ...the sediments settling on it . I don't want to believe heavy equipment is not used in the road construction.... that's just pretty much common local concrete laying guys using same method and tools to make the road. How far more to go? ....and more importantly...when is it scheduled to be completed? ...when did construction begin?...how much has been completed so far?...just curious

Rubbish. While I commend the construction of roads, the propaganda needs to die a horrible death. Of what use is the noisemaking when the roads aren't even complete? Benin bypass, so much noise was made but work has stopped. Enugu - Makurdi, same thing. Transporters prefer to drive to villages to avoid delays. Enugu - Onitsha that you people keep singing about, look at the absolute slow pace of work and substandard process going on there. Enough of this bullshit from people that aren't well traveled. I'm on the road every damn week and I know what I go through. You people that sit in your homes collect pictures from a 2-3km section of an entire 100+ kilometers road and make so much noise about it. Tinubu is a failure and APC is a failure too. I get your point. But, remember that security is a civic duty as well. The war can not be won except with collaboration of the locals. This is the reason state police should have been activated before now. But the funny thing is that the States that need this mostly are not even interested just because of the salaries and emoluments they would pay them. That stance has also not changed even as their monthly fiscal allocation have improved. In addition, religion is another thing that has made the security worse. We all serve the same God but that doesn't mean we should shield our friends and members of our churches and mosques whom we know are into all these things.

Also, to benefit you need to have a matric number, meaning you must be able to afford registration fee and even the first year school fees yourself before you are assigned a registration number than can now apply for nelfund ask anyone around. Anyone that couldn't afford to go to school when it was still very cheap will not be able to afford it now that accommodations and transportation and feeding is expensive.

The issue is not the minister, but the ability of the president to open financial source. Buhari can hardly fund critical projects due to subsidies. The government does not have credit score to borrow money for major projects

Actually I have a ward I pay for. I preferred the 30k we were paying instead of this over 200k. He isn't on nelfund.
