I’m sure this piece by David Hundeyin would resonate with most of us here 😅 “The basic issue with P.O. is the same issue I had until 2024 - he refuses to acknowledge that his platform is fundamentally anti-imperial. The idea of moving Africa's largest population "from consumption to production" is a fundamentally anti-imperialism idea. The existence of Nigeria as a consumer-import-dependent, natural resource exporter that spends resource export revenues on imported finished goods without having an industrial base to manufacture its own, is not an accident of "poor leadership" - it is the direct goal of neo-colonialism. When instead of manufacturing goods, Nigeria instead haemorrhages its natural resources and human talent, and only receives some insufficient USD resource rents in return, this ensured that Nigeria and its African contemporaries remain artificially poor, while people who live in places where for 6 months every year, the ground freezes solid and daily sunshine is only 5 hours, remain artificially wealthy. That is the core of the Euro-American imperial system. The military branch of this imperial system is called NATO. The governance/policy arms are called IMF/World Bank. The economic arm is called WTO. The academic/social arms are the Foundations, NGOs, policy research institutes and universities. This is what P.O. is actually up against. So if P.O. says he wants to "move Nigeria from consumption to production", it is the same thing as declaring war on Europe, its sugar daddy in Washington, and its spiritual leader in Tel-Aviv. And if you're going to do that, you need to be fully locked in, and you need to be prepared to lose everything of yours that is under the empire's control. I finally realised this in June 2024, and that's why I quit my £40,000/year project management job in Newcastle, packed up all my shit, withdrew all my money, gave up my 5-year UK visa, and bought a 1-way ticket back to Accra. As I am now, if and when I end up in a position of power, there is zero leverage that any white man anywhere on earth can use to blackmail me into maintaining this imperial system. I don't have property in their countries. I don't have money in their banking systems. I don't have children in their schools and universities. The most they can do is ban me from their social media. P.O. does not want to do the same. His children are comfortable and integrated pseudo-westerners. He has property in the UK. He has money in their banks. He enjoys that regular suite at the Hilton Paddington too much. He's trying to run on a revolutionary, anti-imperialist platform while pretending that he is a friend of the Western world who doesn't want to pick a fight with them. The problem with this is that oyibo people don't play those games. These people murdered Patrice Lumumba over a speech. You might not see yourself as their enemy, but they DEFINITELY know on what side their bread is buttered, and they know that a Nigeria where ships berth everyday, offload consumer goods, and sail away only with natural resources or empty, is a Nigeria that remains strategically poor and profitable to their empire. They KNOW that a Nigeria under Peter Obi where education and health are properly funded, where Chinese-inspired industrial policy is enacted, where railways and steel production move to the top of national priority, and where those ships eventually start sailing from Nigeria laden with manufactured goods for export to the world, is the Nigeria that will destroy their entire parasitic way of life. And I'm sure P.O. knows this too, but he's invested in pretending that he can play both sides, the same way Patrice Lumumba wasted valuable time doing "I am not a Communist" and trying to play nice with the same people until they killed his ass, dissolved him in sulphuric acid, and kept his gold tooth as a souvenir. That's why I've moved on from the Obidient thing. Both he and his supporters don't know what they want and I'm exhausted. Even his Bible says "How long will you be limping between two opinions?" |

MorataFC:Who told you anything about being extremely wealthy or having to build their wealth before they can do bulk cooking? I'm talking about couples in their thirties who are extremely wealthy but have good jobs that can allow them enjoy what others call luxury as necessity. See Adeboye's tall is his personal opinion which is highly subjective. A 28 year old graduate who works with Shell will be fooolish not to marry his beloved fiance who works with PWC because She can't/won't cook when there's option of batch cooking which their income can afford them. There's nothing wrong in marrying a woman who can't cook once it's the joint decision of the man and woman to go ahead with the marriage. They can always arrangements like batch cooking take care of that. Batch cooking doesn't mean you are a multi-billionaire. The cost of batch cooking is nkt even up to some people's quarterly bonus and they are not even rich rich like that |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 4:21pm On May 03 |
Sportsweb:Yeah,so you see that's why not knowing how too cook does not necessarily need to be a deal breaker. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 4:24pm On May 03 |
BlueRayDick:Like how much would typically go for that sort of expense, say for a family of five. |

Can we start campaigning for Atiku 2031? I would like to lead the team here. I am game, if that's okay with Atiku's fanboys |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Emaprince: 4:47pm On May 03 |
BlueRayDick:Batch cooking in Nigeria? How many households can afford that? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 4:49pm On May 03 |
izzou:Lets sort out Asiwaju 2027 first then we can do Atiku 2031 |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by MorataFC: 4:49pm On May 03 |
BlueRayDick:This is where you are getting it wrong. The man is not talking about the few men working in Shell or similar top-tier companies, who represent an extremely small fraction of Nigerian youths, probably not even up to 0.000001%. He is speaking to the vast majority of young men who are just employed within the normal salary structure, often earning less than ₦200k per month and still trying to build a foundation for family life. The point of his advice is grounded in that everyday reality, not in the lifestyle of a rare, high-income minority. When you shift the reference point to elite earners, you end up distorting the message and making it irrelevant to the people it was originally meant to guide. |

Jamiuokolaa:If Akitu hadn't been self centred, allowed power return to South by supporting Obi, maybe Nigeria will be in far better hands right now. Akitu with structure and Governors pooled 6m votes. Obi without structure and Governors pooled 6m declared votes, add the stolen Rivers and Lagos votes and he would be president today. It is very clear Atiku should have shelved his ambition and support Peter Obi in 2023. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 4:58pm On May 03 |
MorataFC:You are the one who is getting it wrong in your bid to defend Adebaye. If he's a pastor to all members of the congregation Irrespective of their class in the society, their income level and social status, then he shouldn't be making such absolute statements. He should not be saying as a young man don't marry a woman who cannot cook. Since we've all agreed tha there are indeed some strata of his congregation that can afford to marry a woman who cannot cook and still have a wonderful married life, it shouldn't be difficult for you to see how subjective his personal opinion is on the matter. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by MorataFC: 4:58pm On May 03 |
TrebleChamp: ![]() This is what Atiku is also thinking that Obi should have done😂 |

Good BlueRayDick:Obligatory picture of BlueRayDick So you actually know Amala turning for reals
|
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:04pm On May 03 |
raumdeuter:Are we still on that matter? 2031 should go to the North, and who else will sweep their votes if not Atiku? 20 million votes for him alone in the NW and NE, excluding the ones who have died. APC should just throw in the towel in 2031. It's a done deal |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 5:07pm On May 03 |
GloriousGbola:Yes, I did this and more. I dey go lectures Monday to Friday (sometimes I no dey go on Friday sef if na inconsequential course), then go turn Amala, prepare salad, fry small.cjops, etc over the weekends. Better hustle wey dey put money for pocket steady. |

MorataFC:It was general knowledge that power will return to South after Buhari disastrous 8 Year misrule.. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:08pm On May 03 |
TrebleChamp:It's not clear to them oh. Let's see how Atiku will fare with no Governor and Senator this time. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 5:15pm On May 03 |
Emaprince:Anybody who is gainfully employed can afford to cook food that will last 3 good months without having to eat outside or buy fast food. It's same amount you buy food stuff in the market that they will buy the foodstuff. The only difference is the cost you will pay those who will do the cooking once. It might not even cost you up to 150k to pay the caterer and his/her boys that will do it. Na Una dey look am with big man eyes. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by TrebleChamp(m): 5:20pm On May 03 |
izzou:ADC still has issues cos the Supreme Court judgement also referred the matter back to the High Court, Kwankwaso and Obi saw the the problem ahead and did the right thing by leaving.. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by livelongprospa: 5:22pm On May 03 |
izzou:Are you happy now that Obi has left those guys? 😁 |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:24pm On May 03 |
livelongprospa:Absolutely! |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:26pm On May 03 |
TrebleChamp:It was very clear who should have supported who in 2023, and even 2027. They know the numbers are there. The only reason is that "The North will not vote". The way Tinubu will sweep the votes in the North in 2027, will even shock Late General Buhari (Peace Be unto him) |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by livelongprospa: 5:27pm On May 03 |
izzou:Lmaoooooo So atiku could not handle Kwankwaso joining ADC. Baba know say primaries Don blow up as Kwankwaso team up with Obi. Hence that stupid Arise TV interview. Anyways. I need him to do well in the North. Lets see what the Kwankwaso reception will be up north. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by livelongprospa: 5:28pm On May 03 |
When campaign season dey open? Whoever advised Dickson to create the NDC get vision. Meanwhile OBJ hates Atiku man. Kai |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Olowunl01: 5:32pm On May 03 |
raumdeuter:I respect Obi more for not being desperate for power to revert to being VP especially when it is the turn of the South. This is same thinking lead you people to the unmitigated disaster personified in Buhari, Like everyone else, I would rather Tinubu continue that an Atiku, the south is not servant to the North, the reason Tinubu is president is due to the both Northern & importantly southern governors insisting on fairness that power return to the south after 8yrs of Buhari, it's an insult to southern part for Atiku to have insisted on contesting in 2023, that's the original sin. Also between Atiku vs Tinubu, though not his greatest fan, I prefer Tinubu, though both are equally corrupt, so what can you Atiku people point to suggest that he is better than Tinubu? Atleast with Obi you can point to him being younger, perceived as being less corrupt & not frivolous. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:32pm On May 03 |
livelongprospa:Shebi I said it here that Kwankwaso joining ADC was to ensure that Obi runs, but because I no dey wear big cross for neck, Raumdeuter doesn't take me seriously. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 5:38pm On May 03 |
Olowunl01:All is fine as long as Tinubu wins By 2031 no concern me |
