Lol. It reminds me of our joint venture in Nigeria where Chevron brings 35% while NNPC brings 65%.

The major concern should be why a government refuses to contribute to a joint venture to save its citizens' lives, but instead wants the foreign party to put in 100% of the funds.

You don't have $340m to put into the JV, and you don't want to agree to more concessions for the US mining firms.

Meanwhile, this same Zambia dey owe China $5b.

If Zambia cannot run her economy, then she should become a vassal state to America or China—who see the money to be made—while the Zambians continue to build bambiala mentality."
Just watch, one angry uninformed nairalander is about to insult you

Then they should be ready for unrest in the parts of the country where the mineral resources is at. Thats the american way if you dont do their bidding, they start sponsoring terrorists or rebel groups who cause a long time unrest, DRC AND SUDAN IS A GOOD EXAMPLE I WILL ADVISE ZAMBIA TO BRING ANOTHER DEAL TO THE TABLE, OR BORROW SOME MONEY FROM CHINA OR EU, THEN THEY GIVE CONCESSIONS TO THE E.U OR CHINA FOR SOME PERIOD OF TIME. BOTH PARTY WINS AT THE END OF THE DAY
Not by force, I will say good one from Zambia. The days of causing unrest are numbered. The war with Iran don open US yansh

U.S. concern for Nigerian Christians appears to be exceptional. Yet, in Zambia, where about 89% of the population is Christian and many citizens are affected by HIV, their primary interest seems focused elsewhere rather than on those suffering.

What is Africa without US aid and support?
Technology we don’t have!
All our aircraft, weapons and ammunitions are bought from the west,we are not yet ripe for independence!

Even the so called mineral resources, how many African countries have been able to put good use to it?

Nigeria that has oil is still importing oil.
Not everyone have a slave mentality like you do. So, they should give out their resources for aids because they are not using it. People like you shouldn’t have children, it would do their generation a lot of service.

When we say African leaders should emancipate themselves from the shackles of the west, this is what we're talking about. You want to exploit a country's mineral resources where you stand to make billions of dollars. You now expect the country to contribute into you exploiting their minerals. Because they're refusing to comply, you decided to withhold health aids. African countries should stop recieving aids from these countries. They don't care about us, they never did they never will. We should be able to stand on our own but our selfish, greedy leaders keep running to them for support.

I hope a civil war or "terrorist attacks" don't break out in Zambia in the years to come
The Zambian president's life may be in danger for calling the bluff of those imperialists.

Let's not be ingrate.
The west brought and gave value to these things we call minerals, ordinarily they are waste. What do you will happen if you remove every possible means to ship these minerals to the west and Asia, trust me they would end up as dung
These people needs to make profit too.
They are the once transforming the whole world

Don’t be naive & silly.

If the United Snakes of Amerika gives any Country One Billion Dollars (whether in the form of deals or aid), that means she has already perfected how to scheme 100 Billion Dollars out of such unfortunate Country.
They don't want to bring out the entire 1bn dollars o. They expect Zambia to contribute $340m for them to exploit Zambia's natural resources. Which leader wey his head correct go agree to that type of deal. They now want to use medical aids to hold them to random, make dem keep their aids.

You think we wouldn't have explored and refined our minerals as the years went on. The west really made a lot of us believe that we're too stupid to do anything on our own and we need their help for everything. Emancipate yourself from mental slavery!

America doesn't offer you something without demanding something bigger in return. This is more apparent with DT who is always known for making deals favorable to America's interests.

They 1st offered that money to Kenya in the name of medical insurance, but our leaders turned down the offer citing data privacy issues. Uganda was next, but they too turned it down. What’s the catch behind this wooing of African countries with dollars in exchange for patient data? Something is not right.

America want to create digital iDs from Zambian health records but their leaders caught up to the plan to enslave the country.

America should come to W. Africa a certain man will sell 200 million people to them very cheap.

It is not slave mentality,it is using what you have to get what you want!
It’s business!
Many of the minerals Africa got, they don’t even know what it is or it’s worth talking about more of what it’s used for! It’s thesame west that have educated everyone on its values and use!

You that don’t have slave mentality and you are bearing ponzi-ponzi, Onye master mentality!

It’s even worse than I thought. Your reasoning is poor. I’ve noticed a real dip in critical thinking among many Nigerian youth lately. They often just parrot ignorant takes without a second thought. I’m not sure if it’s the education system or just a general lack of effort.
How is someone supposed to engage this?

The reasoning of a colonised mind.

EVERY RACE HAS CONTRIBUTED TO CIVILISATION AND TECHNOLOGY.

THE VERY IDEA OF MINING MINERALS IS AN AFRICAN INNOVATION.

THE NUBIAN MINES OF SUDAN ARE THE WORLD'S OLDEST, DATING BACK OVER 5,000 YEARS.

IRON SMELTING, THE VERY BASIS FOR ALL TECHNOLOGY, WAS INVENTED IN LEJJA NSUKKA NIGERIA WHERE THE WORLD'S OLDEST SMELTING SITE WAS DISCOVERED AND CARBON-DATED TO 2,600 BCE.

SO AFRICA IS THE CRADLE OF TECHNOLOGY AND CIVILISATION.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR AFRICAN CONTRIBUTION TO CIVILISATION, GO ON CHATGPT AND INQUIRE.

IN THIS DAY AND AGE OF FREE INFORMATION, YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE TO BE IGNORANT.
