Have you seen the road that leads to the Ladoke Akintola Train Station, Moniya? I don't even know which is worse between the Abeokuta and Ibadan access roads. I think this is a system wide problem. And the bulk rests on the table of the NRC. They should do better!

Ogun state and many south West state have terrible roads ...I don't know why that Ogun State is backward ...from villages to their cities ...yet they shout HIGHEST IGR yet they can't maintain their infrastructure from schools to Road...go to Its and Sagamu and see terrible roads drive to Abeokuta from Ota and weep
The problem of Ogun State is beyond physical, very terrible leadership

We have no regards for rail transport in this country. It is a neglected economic force multiplier. The only thing that can save us from the removal of fuel subsidies wether cross country, intercity or intracity transport.

If the Federal Government spent a fraction of the amount it is proposing for these new so called super highways and administrators like Wike in Abuja could prioritize rail links between the satellite towns and the city centre there will be a lot more economic impact.

This is highly regrettable.

The road in questions is one of big project that supposed to have been done by gov dapo. The road start from Berger Lagos down to ijoko to Sango ota.
Re: Condition Of Road That Leads To Lateef Jakande Railway Station In Ogun State by Abdulhakeem7(m): 7:35am On May 04
Sincerely, that road can make someone get old untimely, I used to live in that area before and the unbearable condition of that road made me relocate. From Àgbàdo to Ope-Ilu, the road is in shambles and from Sharp Corner to Abule too is worse. The only presence of government felt in that area is tax, rates and dues collections

This is agbado oja immediately after Agbado crossing. The whole road coming from adiyan and other link roads are disaster. The governor does not deserve any political post.
Those roads are still like that? So they've not fixed it for almost 20 years now

I don't even want to Tilak about government
yommen:
Abeg go sit down jor. That's how you come and package igbo land to us like say igbo land don become Dubai. You mean all the road are now fully tarred? And yet you all still run down to Yoruba land! Lies!

You people only focus on the negative. The road from Ishaga to Agbado has been completed and is in excellent condition. This one is just a local road, and there are even better alternative routes available. Please, try to be fair in your posts, fear God small. It always feels like you’re trying to paint everything in a bad light. Why not highlight the good sides as well?
Even the isaga one was done by Lagos state not dapo. And you call this road a local roadhuh?

Haaa. This road connects berger to sango ota if fixed and reduces the traffic on Lagos abeokuta express
Re: Condition Of Road That Leads To Lateef Jakande Railway Station In Ogun State by ariesbull: 8:07am On May 04
Then tax those heavy trucks and companies using the heavy truck Riad tax period! I can't build roads and these big trucks will be destroying it...they will be paying road tax for maintaining it
Image123:
It seems Ogun state and good roads are enemies. They need to make up.
They must also consider the grade and quality of roads because a lot of heavy vehicles ply the state due to the number of industries there.

The train station vs The road that leads to the train station.

The federal government put a massive infrastructure in the area and Ogun State couldn’t do the barest minimum of construction of the access road.

An embarrassment!

Their people will come here and boast of ogun revenue
Yet they are not asking their leaders how they are spending the huge revenue.

Come to OMU from ofada, part of the road reconstructed from Ofada has collapsed within a year and the worse part is the road across the main dangote concreted road have a deep gully inside it similar to the one in the image.

Only one side of the road inward ofada from mowe was resurfaced and the other side has remained untarred till today. Useless governor

The funny thing is the failure of a governor wants to bully his way to the Senate.

Ogun State governors have been some of the worst in Nigeria!

In 2019, a friend who lived and worked in Ota invited me to his house. I travelled from Lagos and realised that the expressway connecting Lagos to Ota was horrible.

My friend said that Winners Chapel opted to fix the road but the government insisted that the church must pay a certain amount before it's allowed to fix it.

Consequently, the church abandoned it. This should be a major highway connecting two important states. After plying that deplorable road, I swore never to visit there again.
I think it had something to do with zoning..that road you refer to is now being repaired.

Even the one that leads to Professor Oshinbajo Railway station is worse.

Dapo Abiodun is a disaster
Honestly, I have blamed Dapo several times on this issue of roads, but I am beginning to wonder, could it be that Ogun state's allocation is too small for the size of the state, given the land mass? Then again, Ogun isn't as big as Oyo state (which is bigger than the entire South East).

Cos I am really surprised why roads are so terrible in Ogun state, apart from Abeokuta which is the capital. Obviously, there's something he's doing wrong.

Highest number of universities, highest number of industries (high taxes), best proximity to Lagos, still roads are in such terrible conditions. Na wah ooo.

Yes there are little issues between ojoo and moniya. But that road still better pass ogun state roads. Makinde has done well when it comes to roads in oyo

Do you mean the governor decided to sponsor a white elephant project to enable him loot massively.

I agree but not all...you can't pain all the leaders same

Abia State governor is trying
Enugu is trying
Anambra is trying
Rivers State is trying
Akwa Ibom State is trying
Lagos State is trying

So saying all the leaders are the same is wrong and its fallacy of hasty generalisation

You are a liar. The road from ishaga to Agbado is far from been in excellent condition despite been a relatively new road of less than 3 years, with tiny potholes here and there especially from Toyin down to under the bridge at Crossing, a testament to the poor quality standard of its construction. And how do you try to justify the eyesore of the access road by calling it a local road? Do you see the uncompleted flyover bridge right beside what you called a local road?
And what do you mean by there are even better alternative routes to the train station? When there are only two routes that leads to it and one of those routes is the topic of this post.

Which road is in good condition. It seems you have not passed the road in recent times, various sections have become bad due to lack of maintenance. How can you construct a road to go bad so quickly. Terrible!!!

i trust that they are paying a lot already. Like i said, the government must improve road quality to meet demands and realities. Though, they'd probably prefer recycling the road project.
