https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SEUeU1nf5I UK-based Nigerian man in a street interview boldly declares he would never leave the UK for Nigeria, even if offered $10 million, unless "things change dramatically." He explains that no amount of money can protect you from insecurity, dysfunctional systems, unreliable infrastructure, and the everyday struggles in Nigeria. From constant power outages and poor healthcare to the fear of random kidnappings, he chooses peace of mind, safety, and stability abroad. This powerful clip has sparked massive debate across social media about the Japa syndrome, quality of life vs wealth, and the real cost of living in a broken system. Would you go back for $10M?

Your palaver. Nigeria is my home. I be african man, original. The below is a summary of my story. I schooled and came back. But before returning I had had a mindset that the west would honour me rather than me honour them one day. I came hit the sector in which I'm much more relevant and even inviting experts to help for a fee today. Back in the days I used to hear oil spill here and there, people wailing that their lands have been destroyed, shell paying hugely on compensation, pipelines being hit at remote places which can be tackled real-time without even paying a visit to the creeks with the IIOT . Thanks to Starlink ![]() Today, we've taken over the share of the market by 30% as an indigenous firm. By the time Dangote commences crude exploration, we'd have become the topmost indigenous company in our line of business in hazardous mgt. As Nigerian, I had had the opportunity of meeting with the American president inside the DAAR hall near the White house, the only one from black Africa where the son of any country's president has never been. There's power in the tongue. I remembered when I said the west would honour me rather than me doing so and it came to pass. Tony Blair was the 2nd notable figure met, though years after his exit as British PM. Those who wish to stay put in a foreign land, its ok. But If you stay there, who will fix Nigeria, Chinese, Indians and others who are busy taking advantage of us, conniving with our corrupt leaders? No way! Anytime I come here and preach good governance and leadership devoid of corruption, their gullible followers always kick. They think they're more Nigerian than I am. It's high time we changed our mindset. America was once a super corrupt nation. Read the history of America. Kidnapping reigning today in Nigeria was once a norm at a time. Benin republic used to be a hot bed of kickbacks and corruption. Their gendams no dey gree rest once they see Nigerians in those days. Same Benin republic is now rid of corruption. Enter cotonou you'll think you're in France. Light no dey dim, no solar panels littering their buildings as we have it in Nigeria today as a result of leadership failure. Their currency that used to be worst in africa has now left the almighty naira behind. A lot of african nations are achieving steady progress without making noise. Vote out bad leaders who have refused to leave the space, despite falling down without being touched and seeking medical treatment every 3 months overseas. How will they concentrate on fixing Nigeria?. Ask tinubu the meaning of AI, he doesn't know anything. Their policies are archaic and anti people. I wonder if sentiments will put food at our desk. Enough said |

JAPA is not always about money. If it were only money, then I wouldn't have left Nigeria long ago, since I was doing very well. Most times environmental and rational sanity top the chart (quality of life), access to precious things of life. We have only one life to live, guard it with every strength & breath you have. We've millions like him in the 🇺🇸. Being on this planet is an opportunity you'll never never have again, therefore don't allow lawless countries traumatize such for you |

People wey never experience living in first world countries overseas will come down hard on the young man. The basic things that the common man including aliens enjoy abroad is considered a privilege to have here in Nigeria. That is the sharp contrast. |

Hardly anyone wants to take that risk and return to Nigeria under Tinubu. With insecurity, kidnapping, and banditry still rampant, the chances of living to enjoy that money seem slim. |
