A growing number of political observers are describing Peter Obi’s move to the Nigeria Democratic Congress as a bold and calculated masterstroke. Among them is an X user, Harmless, who paints Obi as a quiet strategist rather than a reactive politician.

According to the commentary, Obi entered the coalition fully aware of internal plots against his ambition, but chose patience over confrontation. Instead of resisting, he played along—only to exit at the right moment with a major political gain: Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

The takeaway is striking—what appeared to be a coalition move designed to contain Obi may have instead strengthened him. In simple terms, critics say the coalition tried to use Obi, but in the end, Obi turned the tables and used the coalition to his advantage.

PETER OBI calculated very very well.

OBI / kwankwaso alignment is the best thing that happened to Nigerian electorates in recent years

If PETER OBI had gone straight to NDC, tinubu and his gang would have had enough time to tackle the party and create internal problems as usual. Now ADC is suffering the problem.

PETER OBI new from time that Atiku Abubakar will not give up on his presidential ambition, yet he kept assuring his supporters that he will be on the ballot, many people didn't get the gist.

PETER OBI has long planned his moves, but kept his card close to his chest. OBI is the original MASTER STRATEGIST
Re: How The Coalition Plotted Against Obi And Got Outplayed by Dijita:
If obi is a strategist he wouldn't have joined the collation. He would have sponsored a group of nobodies to register a party right immediately after the last presidential election. Instead of going to court to remove a sitting president in the Nigeria political atmosphere. They will not even do that in the United states talk less of Nigeria.
Today, that party will be the one inviting him to come and joined them and be their presidential candidate. He would have just move from labor party to that party instead of jumping from collation to NDC that Kwankwaso would soon be dragging with him.
Political strategy is like a game of chess, you should be able to read the board and adapt without your opponet guezing your move.

Bringing up all sorts of conjecture just to soothe their painment. Imagine the useless narrative that Kwakwanso will now want to drag presidential ticket in the NDC with Obi. They think Kwankwanso is a fool or is as myopic as they are.

Kwakwanso is not blind and he is seeing that they have a chance at winning the election if he agrees to be VP to Obi thus positioning himself very well for when it's turn for the North.

But agbadorians will always exhibit agbado like sense that always makes them look wretched.

Is this a statement of fact or a prayer point? It's like you do not know Kwankwaso. Kwankwaso will insist on primaries in the NDC. You will be back to pour invectives on Kwankwaso once that happens.

Emotion clouds judgement. insults are the fallback of those who lack the maturity to engage in an intelligent debate. This is a political discussion, neither Obi nor kwankwaso nor Atiku knows you from anywhere and you are not likely to gain a dime from anyone of them becoming the president. In Fact, if you and Seyi Tinubu visits Aso rock of Obi presidency, He Obi will see Seyi Tinubu, gives him contract and they will not even allow you to see him.
Did you not just witnessed Jonathan visiting Tinubu in Aso rock with everything Tinubu did to kick him out of power? Once you understand that politic is about power and not enemity, you will be less emotional about any politician and have peace.

Tell your paymaster Atiku the Cameroonian to quit deluding himself that he will be president one day. Something he has been contesting since 1993. What a greedy old man.

This is why you are on nairaland with 1.5gb data while they are on the pinnacle of politics and power

Firstly the time frame for the registrtration of new parties has closed

Secondly in your right mind would you go and register a new party then after you win someone will challenge registrtration process of your party then inec declared ... Oh sorry there was an error somewhere only for tinubu who came a distant second to win
The only cure way to avoid all this is use a party that has already existed through other elections

The error that made uzodinma governor for 8 years didn't teach you a thing about Nigeria

A very clueless minded assertion from an Obidient, please which tribe in the Federal Republic of Nigeria will vote for an Igbo man to become the President, over a sitting Yoruba president?

How is that possible in the mind of any logical thinker?
