The guy Bleep up big time. An OAU graduate making such kind of reckless statement.

His reckless statement of watering down Nigeria graduates of lacking modern skills is just like saying he ( the CEO) isn't capable of building a world class online bank like moniepoint.

Unfortunately, he made his start in Nigeria and Nigeria is still his main market.

Re: How To Apply For Available Jobs In Moniepoint by MisterRobot: 11:02pm On May 05
Was it not last year I applied for a role in this company? With my 9 plus years of experience and receipts to prove it but didn't even get shortlisted for interview.

Meanwhile I got another remote job for in a US company. Not sure they will pay half of what I earn without stressing me twice as much.

They better fix their corrupt recruitment process and stop blaming Nigerians.

Maybe he has to look into the heads of the HR department and their recruitment process . If you are good enough for a US company , you should be more than enough for Moniepoint .
Now that said , Tosin is right . You might be an exception that the process failed to pick . As an employee of labour myself , it is a big issue getting qualified hands in Nigeria now . Train them and they get poached by other companies . Look for highly skilled and they are nowhere except you pay heavily to poach them too .

Your are very right and I believe you 100%

See one of their agents already selling slots on here.
That CEO insulted Nigerians to say the least, what happened to extra training Nigerians for the position.
He should go employ Chinese and pay them in yuan

Then you keep training them. Tech is a universal occupation. So his competition are remote companies and foreign companies. Also, I think many overlook the cost of employees transporting themselves to Lekki, Ikoyi and VI from the mainland. See the other one offering 250K for relationship managers, whereas those who fit the role requirements won't collect less than 600K.

No transport allowance whatsoever.
Re: How To Apply For Available Jobs In Moniepoint by Gerrard59(m):
Crowntop94:
Listen carefully to everything he said with all sincerity and tell me where he lied.
He lied because one, nothing like 500 jobs. Two, the salaries as outlined by others aren't favourable considering the costs involved in transporting themselves to work when there are remote alternatives. He later explained that is a severe lack of engineers resident in Nigeria, which is well understood. But this is why founders like him who are close to the govt should push for a better public transport system and clamp down on excessive police harassment. Also, why should a senior engineer stay in a place where grid collapses every eke market week?

p.s. This link shows a specialised role salary, which is very fair. https://x.com/frankedoho/status/2051803024683589868?s=20

But he should have emphasised at the Platform Event that the issue is a lack of resident engineers in Nigeria, not hookup. Shey hookup no dey America?
