codemaniacs:When last have you ever seen any states in Nigeria aside Lagos been compare to other states in Africa in terms of richest state in Africa? I await your answer |
| Re: Lagos Rep, Okey-Joe Onuakalusi Sponsors 18 To China, Majority Igbos by lawani(m): 5:27pm On May 06 |
Kalulu44:That is because of their leadership. If you have 5 million people in your state you should be doing better than many countries in west Africa if you have a visionary leadership. With no leadership, Lagos would be in the backwaters too |
| Re: Lagos Rep, Okey-Joe Onuakalusi Sponsors 18 To China, Majority Igbos by Kalulu44: 5:29pm On May 06 |
lawani:When you say cosmopolitan, what's your meaning. Cus the last time I checked, Lagos though small in land mass, has the highest population, highest hotels, highest industries, has the biggest and busiest port same as airport, the entertainment center of the country, highest in transportation, highest in beaches and tourism. All these brings billions of money to Lagos State which no other states including the oil producing states can bring. I even forgot to mention it has the highest estates in the whole country |
| Re: Lagos Rep, Okey-Joe Onuakalusi Sponsors 18 To China, Majority Igbos by lawani(m): 5:32pm On May 06 |
Kalulu44:Cosmopolitan in this context means residents of different ethnic backgrounds. There is more mixture in Kaduna, Jos, Abuja, PH and etc than what is obtainable in Lagos but Lagos has more population. |

lawani:Mtcheew, he has entered leadership. Do other states has what Lagos has in terms of infrastructure. Why is Tinubu and many Lagos elites refusing the other three states that has port from operating their own. |

lawani:You lied, honestly you lied. Is any of the states you mentioned above have up to 20m population. If not how do they have more mix tribe than Lagos. 60% or more out of that 20m population in Lagos are not indigenes. |
| Re: Lagos Rep, Okey-Joe Onuakalusi Sponsors 18 To China, Majority Igbos by esnbrutality: 5:37pm On May 06 |

Kalulu44:There are cities with busier ports than Lagos but with less population than Osogbo If any state does what former Gov Ambode did in Lagos by compelling all companies to file PAYE returns regularly or be closed down then their igr will surpass their allocations immediately even as Tinubu is helping them collect VAT and CIT from their states and sending it to them as part of their allocation |

Kalulu44:I don't count Yoruba who have been there since the land was created as non indigenes. If you count them as non indigenes because of state boundaries then non indigenes will be up to ninety percent of the population |

| Re: Lagos Rep, Okey-Joe Onuakalusi Sponsors 18 To China, Majority Igbos by Kalulu44: 5:47pm On May 06 |
lawani:I don't get you, Lagos population including indigenes and non indigenes is over 20m. And I am telling you 60% or more make up the non indigenes. No other states in Nigeria can boast of that |

| Re: Lagos Rep, Okey-Joe Onuakalusi Sponsors 18 To China, Majority Igbos by lawani(m): 5:55pm On May 06 |
Kalulu44:Are you saying sixty percent are non Yoruba? Because actual Lagos indigenes are not up to forty percent of Lagos population. Ekiti will have more indigenes than Lagos. If you are saying sixty percent are non Yoruba then it is just speculation because electoral wins show Lagos is not less than seventy percent Yoruba and it may even be ninety percent because I have seen actual church member lists in Lagos where ninety percent are Yoruba and that is several RCCG churches. If you want to have a good estimate then sponsor a survey of public schools like two in every local government and take an actual census and publish it. It will give all of us something concrete to be quoting |

Irony1:Only reason there's poverty in the SE in 2026 is because in 1966 certain SE soldiers and leaders who had zero knowledge of economics could not forecast the oil boom that awaited the SE region and due to their superiority complex and mindset to always dominate non-SE people they ignorantly chose to destroy the regionalism that would have made every SE person filthy rich and stinky rich and start a civil war.. |
