I totally agree. I don't know which tardy government gave permission for private estate development on the Jabi (after ShopRite) side of the lake. It should not be. That place, the entire foreshore right from the old water works, under the Yaradua causeway bridge and across to the River Nile end where baby Moses was hidden... , should strictly be reserved for tourism, hospitality, recreation and leisure, not allocated to real estate or other self serving ventures.

Apart from the Aso lake there is no other large body of water in the municipality for recreation and with the loss of one green area after the other particularly under this administration, the city is at risk of becoming a sterile concrete desert. The church should be given somewhere else. And I hope the new proposals meet with best practices and standards befitting of a Federal capital.

PS: And I hope the plans includes keeping the water clean and free of garbage, pests and weeds.
