This Is What You Pay? – Alleged Moniepoint Salary Offer Leaks Online(pix)

An alleged salary offer document of Moniepoint has surfaced online, sparking widespread reactions amid the CEO’s call for global talent standards.

The document was shared by @unkleAyo on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), who claimed it is a Quality Assurance role package within the company.

Alleged Salary Offer

According to the post, the annual salary is about ₦1.9 million, a figure that quickly triggered reactions across social media.

“This is currently circulated as what Moniepoint offers for a Quality Assurance role. ₦1.9M per year,” the user wrote.

The user further broke down the figure, comparing it to global earnings.

For granular context: This is $1,300 USD for the entire year. $115 per month. Then their CEO have the boldness to say, there’s no global talent. Just imagine,” he added.

Alleged Employment Terms

The circulating document also outlined standard employment conditions, including working hours from 8am to 5pm, with the possibility of additional hours depending on job demands.

It stated that extra hours may not attract additional pay unless approved at the company’s discretion.

It also noted that employees are expected to fully dedicate their attention to duties, attend meetings, and comply with company policies.

Salary Structure Details

Under the alleged offer letter, the base compensation was listed at approximately ₦1,894,736 annually, subject to deductions.

The package also reportedly included a performance bonus ranging from 0% to 50% of base salary depending on evaluation.

Netizens React

The alleged salary details have sparked mixed reactions online, with many questioning whether such pay aligns with the expectations of companies seeking to compete globally.

Heard the dude is from OAU. These are the people who feel their N200/annum tuition fee makes their education 5,000 times cheaper and thus better than private schools.

Many hair saloon owners and rice seller make more than that a year.

The salary may be commensurate with the role. The problem here is he did not list the functions of the role. QA can mean anything just like “consultant” can mean receptionist, hairdresser or sales boy/girl. Quality assurance is generally not a role for graduates. Generally abroad it would be a job for school leavers. However If it is software QA, I am 100% sure they would never offer such a salary.

Did you go to university thinking you would be applying for a quality assurance role?

N150K per month? And he has the mouth to insult Nigerian Youths. Na waoh
Re: Is This What Moniepoint Pays As Salary? by NaijaHelper1(m): 7:18pm On May 07
Quality assurance is not a serious role. It's the same as paying someone to siddon dey observe how things dey go. I'll take that

Let his workers open up now.

This might be an opportunity for them to get a review.
Re: Is This What Moniepoint Pays As Salary? by Fiscus105(m):
Immediately I read his statement, I knew he would be treating his workers poorly, local & international training and retraining won't be his priorities.

Little wonder, he want high skilful expert who is a fresh graduate, not even Nigeria universities that grossly underfunded.

If state government can do orientation and training for fresh intake teachers, how much more fintech company,......oga is expecting to see a fresh computer science graduate, who is expert in software development .

Oga use part of huge profit you are getting from Moneypoint to train few from numerous brilliant, but jobless Nigeria's graduates in other to acquire expertise you needed in your company.
