That thing no supposed pass that kind 70k those guys will never reduce it they might even increase am

I think Starlink too will make so much improvement this year
Starlink is not getting to gigabit speed or upload speed improving to 100 to 200mbps any time soon. Mtn Fibre x is now in my area in Anambra and i will be checking them out soon. If the mtn Fibre x remain reliable and maintain its speed for 3 months straight I WILL MOVEEE .

They will surely hit Gigabit this year with the performance kit but it all depends on Starship success

Unless you're a business owner, Gigabit internet is an overkill. I'm pretty sure MTN's equivalent of Starlink's monthly sub (57k) would only get you around 100Mbps-200Mbps, which is a bad deal compared to starlink.

Starlink just need to bring 100Mbps plan to Nigeria. 100Mbps is enough bandwidth for most households.

Too expensive 1gbps plan on fiber at 200k

Performance Kit that cost above 2 million naira 😂😂😂,guy abeg naa. That one na for the elite.

The way mtn is rapidly expanding their fibre x network coverage within Nigeria, the only thing that will save starlink future in Nigeria is price reduction back to 38k, unless if mtn fibre x network becomes shitty and unreliable. Mtn is not joking recently with this their Fibre x network, they are targeting major cities and highly populated communities and residential areas. Is it old people in the village that will be using starlink😂, Mtn will end starlink in few years to come with this their fibre x deployment.

😂Those guys are not in touch with reality in Nigeria. The performance kit are for billionaires and political elites.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m): 9:37am On May 07
Even the standard kit price and Mini price are way too expensive for most people in Nigeria.
Imo, hardware price shouldn't be more than 100k.

Amazon LEO would be stupid not to undercut starlink.

Can I subscribe to the residential plan in an area that is at capacity with it? If yes, I'm interested in buying it. Currently in Sapele, I can come to your address in Warri for inspection and finalise payments.

Good evening all,

Please is there any noticeable difference in performance between the starlink mini and starlink standard. My network has been really poor lately and I am looking to get starlink.

I appreciate your assistance in advance.

Same performance.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by johnnyholtby(m):
I've used the two hardwares extensively.....
Compared to the Mini, the Gen 3 is faster but not by much. Also, the Gen 3 handles rain fade better. Gen 3 has a better router too (WiFi 6 vs WiFi 5 of the Mini).

Gen 3 has higher ceiling (more download throughput)

However, your network being poor isn't cos of your hardware (as long as it's not faulty). Trust me, for its size, the Mini is a beast. When I was using my Mini, I got 200-300Mbps.

For most users, the Mini is more than capable. I always tell my referrals to go for the Mini due to the huge price difference compared to the standard Gen 3.
I "upgraded" to the standard Gen 3 cause I got it for the price of the Mini, without this deal, I woulda stuck with my Mini.
