Nigerians should pity this Moniepoint guy

Two truths can coexist
The man is running a company with a 1 billion usd valuation like gbola bros

If he was paying an actual PR firm and not an Instagram influencer he would have been advised to keep his foolish hot takes to hinself

The man just turned 40 and he is spitting agbalagba takes about how the youth are lazy bums.

Let them drag him all they want.

He will still be a billionaire at the end but maybe he will now go for some eq training and leave boardroom talk for boardroom.

I think the man is falling to the tech bro disease where resounding success in one field gets to your head and you get high on your farts and think you can disrupt everything and reshape to what you think reality should be.

APC guber battle still ongoing as Penkele is refusing to back down

Seyi is reported to have chose Ajimobis former commisioner of finance Bimbo Adekanmbi who left APC last December
Seyi is also reported to have picked Odidiomo for Oyo South Senate, Femi Ajadi for Oyo Central and Shina Peller for Oyo North

The main news is that Seyi is trying to decide which party these people will contest under. Right now it seems like it might be APM
I see Seyi losing out on all fronts if he doesn't align with Abuja at Federal level.

......Seyi's candidate will win Oyo but likely to do a Fubara though. Meanwhile, Seyi ain't Wike, thus his political relevance may come to an end before the next cycle.

He has some points but he 4ck up with his final submission.

The thing is all these tech companies need to start giving youngings chance into mentorship/internship roles where they can learn and grow then transition into senior roles in the future.

His approach of looking for ready-made talents to fill senior roles will not work. Blaming Nigerian education system, Yahoo Yahoo and youth's laziness for his inability to fill that senior role will not work at all.

There's a reason why the big 4's , oil companies, Banks and other financial services firms recruit graduate trainees every year to give smart fresh graduates a chance to learn, grow and transition into whatever career path the organizations figure they will excel based on their performance in the graduate trainee programs.

There's nothing like unemployability of Nigerian graduates. He should give them the required trainings, develop talents for the future and see if he won't see those same youth flying high in the nearest future. Shebi the current GMD of Zenith bank joined the bank as a fresh graduate during her NYSC, look at her today.

Let Tosin too invest in fresh graduates instead of looking for ready-made talents wey don japa go saner climes to live where there is security and peace of mind

True.

Nigerian Banks are doing well in the continent, and you never hear them say they had 500 jobs and no Nigerian was qualified

Simply train them into the role, instead of making it look like there's nobody serious amongst 200 million people

Noo

He was a guest on The Platform.

And he said that Moniepoint had about 500 job roles and they couldn't find any Global Nigerian talent qualified for them.

Nigerians then dug into his pay structure and discovered that Baba was paying 1.9 million naira per year for a Senior role.

Na so the dragging start

Can you just imagine? shocked

So his PR/Corporate communications team are amateurs who messed up by using an unauthorized photograph for advert. Instead of using sense to solve the issue by involving their legal team & PR team, they went ahead to create a legal mess by taking the man's authorization under duress.

The man needs professionals to help run the human side of business o. He should just focus on being techie and coding .

the lack of jobs in nigeria means that any company that can afford a rigorous recruitment process will get the absolute cream of naija graduates bright, hard working self starters who you give a table in word and they return to you with a detailed spreadsheet in excel

the kindest thing i can say is he is not ready to transition from startup to enterprise

It's not easy to hammer with a start-up normally. Nobody will hammer with one start-up and then voluntarily give it up to go through the rigors of starting a new one.

I think his best bet is to allow some of his investors to bring in capable hands who can run and manage a business effectively. Managing a business goes beyond a tech guy reading management books and doing trial & error

Naija business owner are always like this, they make you feel less of yourself
As if they are doing you favour
Most of them underpay and lie the employees ain't qualified

From my reading, Tech bros are usually high on disruption farts. This system that people have been using and refining for the past century is nonsense and we can do it better.

That is how elon musk introduced a touchscreen as central control in teslas.

That means that when you want to adjust ac you navigate a menu. You want to play music, navigate a menu. Buttons that you touch once replaced with a screen that distracts you while driving. Disruption. Now everyone is moving back to buttons.

Freeze had to pay 5m fine for knacking another man's wife. Since the man has his evidence he should get a lawyer and cash out.

Don't know his home dynamics so I can't say more than that.

Would be great if the aggreived husband could run for this man's seat and win sha.

It was an acrimonious divorce and the husband followed through on his petty revenge. His ex-wife was on the news and social media trying to make the man lose his job. Calling his full name and his role in total plc.

This man is obviously not wealthy, but if he gets a lawyer and agrees 30% with him and follows through he can do the same. It will sha be small revenge
