Getting original coolant is the problem as it's will be with other vehicle parts. Most coolant in the market today are just water mixed with coloring.

luvinhubby:
Nigeria drivers don't know the importance of using coolants, many use water in the place of coolant and that is the reason for frequent overheating & damaged engines.
A good coolant serves as coolant, antifreeze and antirust

The Honda Type 2 Coolant is the manufacturer recommended coolant for all Honda vehicles but scarce in our market

Hello, my honda DC make sharp load sound underneath it, just when driving on uneven road especially if the slopes to one side. or sometimes when you cut the stearing it's make click metal sound.

The only thing that could come to my mind at first is the steering tie rod ball joint.

I took it to mechanic to check all the ball joints. But they are all solid and stiff. Like you can't bend them with barehand. Still very good. Even I called a part seller to go and observe them after me and the mechanic already confirmed it. He said they are all good.

But that sounds are still there. I don't know if its of lack of grease. Or it might be driveshaft.

It's like a dislocated bone cracking. But Metal cracking sometimes cut the stearing or driving on and uneven road.

I recently cleaned my throttle body valve and since been experiencing fluctuating rpm, I’ve tried idle relearn and removed battery terminals but problem still persists.

Is there any solution that can be done rather than replacing the throttle body?

is it before you clean it?

Check for leak. Maybe it's not tightly placed.

You might want to change the hose and filter as well

Hello guys.

My mechanic wants to change the gasket in my car (Honda Accord 2010). However, he said that plastic gasket is better than metal gasket because most metal gasket are fake right now.

Please who has experience with plastic gasket.

No there were no leaks. We put in another and the engine ran as before.

if it's the head gasket, then be very careful. The factory head gasket on most Honda engines is usually MLS (multi-layer steel/metal) and generally better for durability, heat handling, and compression. A poor-quality “plastic” head gasket is not advisable

what did you do on the car before the issue starts also scan your car for the problem. I don't think it should be a difficult thing to fix

That's a sign of little or low air when the engine is loaded. Clean your throttle body and also make sure your air filter is not dirty. If dirty, replace it.

Then the issue is carbon build-up around the throttle body. Open the butterfly in the throttle body and clean with small cloth and spirit.

Hello All,

Please i need help with my Honda Civic 2008, Some times in the morning when we start the vehicle and engage the gear, it have this very rough jerking, and when this happens during movement you would notice a bit of jerking when the gears are changing. However, once movement have being made for like 10 mins thereabout and the engine is restarted, everything go smoothly. No jerking, change between gears is very smooth.

We have scanned it and there are no codes. The oil is well guaged.. its a on and off thing.. Maybe once or twice in a week.

Please help

I’m having an intermittent issue with my car and need help diagnosing it.

The car starts normally and drives fine at first, but after some time on the road, I suddenly lose acceleration. When I press the accelerator, the engine is still running and RPM stays low, but the car does not respond or pick up speed properly.

If I turn the car off and restart it, it goes back to normal and drives fine again for a while, before the same issue returns.

You didn't state what car it is and engine option.
Symptoms looks like fuel delivery issues.
Check for fuel pressure when hot and replace fuel pump if pressure is low.

Have you fixed the transmission issue?
Kindly update the house if replacing the solenoid was the only part needed for the fix.

Thanks for asking. I got a working solenoid, car no longer throws p0756. The transmission worked well for a couple of days then started harsh shift from P to D or R. Yesterday, I am back at D light blinking, tranny hangs at 2, occasionally shifts to 3 ironically, no code. Before this started, I had to rev high to shift to 3. Was thinking of changing the gear 3 pressure switch but now, I am at sea again.

Scan and post codes so you'd get proper assistance.

I'm suspecting the hard shift happens only when cold right?
Those transmission have seals in them that fails and makes the transmission act erratically.
The issue might not be externally but within the transmission and might require an invasive repairs (my assumption).
Rescan and see if you have any code.
Also run a live data on the transmission and see if the solenoids shifts on and off when you shift the gear. If it does, then that confirms my earlier take on mechanical damage within the transmission.
