I've got a friend who's a farmer and does livestock.

He told me exactly this same thing. The rabbit died because people were fighting in the farm. The noise and all that.

As a poultry farmer, e sure me die say the direct cause of death of those birds is stampede. Yes, chickens are very, very sensitive to sudden change of sound around their environment. If your birds are located in a quiet area and all of a sudden you play loud music, they will all quickly run to one section of the farm and crowd over themselves, leading to death due to suffocation and stampede. The same thing happens when you suddenly withdraw light from your birds at night, when they are already used to light being on at night. There's bound to be mortality.

Heres a brief story of what happened to me around 2012 -2013 Calabar Carnival (can't remember the exact year)

we had large speakers around mary slessor round about all the way to marian and they were so loud as i passed that road it seemed my heart was trying to blow up, i was holding my cheast and stomach at the same time as they both felt like popping.

Imagine walking that distance.

I decided to deviate and move towards unical wich has no loud speakers.

since then i've always been cautious of loud speakers, i stopped watching carnival on the street as well.

I have taken care of Chickens, and they seem to panic from any disruption and in tight spaces can stress them. .

They are not so different from humans, i was able to identify their unique characters.


At the end, though i was sad to be involved in their death, the chicken was tasty.

It seems it was the frequency, maybe it was harmonic frequency.

Loud noise is generally not good for birds.

Of course, the farmer was right. The sound killed the chicken but it's not about the sound being so loud per se, it's rather about it being in the right frequency.

Even sound can kill a human being at the right frequency. Just stay near a loud speaker in a club. In fact, if you check YouTube you'll see singers or violin players breaking glass with the right pitch/frequency of sound.

By the way, even our thoughts (which is inaudible sounds) are causing effects in our bodies, recreating our cells, and over a long time our genes will change according to the frequency of the language we think.

What this means it that over many thousands of years of speaking English language or French as Africans, our gene will eventually become non-African even though we'll look black. Even if they love to roam don't scare them. During feeding stampede can also occur, my mum owned a poultry before so I know these things. You control them while feeding to avoid stampede, I am talking about birds that you haven't transferred to the cage..... Even the ones in the cage mistakenly hang themselves in the cage when scared.

That is why it is good to put them in battery cages

You are right, one cannot play with large numbers of chickens i took care of only six or seven, and the space outside their cage was very large and fenced, so i could afford to play with them like dogs.

I like those cages were chickens can roam outside like the one below. That way they can go outside freely and interact with the earth.

Funny but true story.Dont be surprised that this can't happen in Nigeria, because even our birds are as loud as we Africans.American friend once said, when Africans gather for a party its as if it thunders.

Yes, Africans are too loud especially Nigerians.
A colleague of mine once said that Nigerians talk loudly without knowing. Same words that can be spoken softly is loudly shouted without knowing.

From today onwards, for those who are in doubt just watch our Hollywood. The movie are a reflection of our lives. They shout and make lots of noise unknowingly....this is cultural now. We can't change even if we live in America or Europe.

They conducted aitopsy on chicken and confirmed heart failure , note the date of the incident as 25th April and results ate out already

Mohbad's autopsy took nearly a year and came out inconclusive after the goverment and everyone else involved had botched it .
So many people in jail and police detention right now , suffering for what a simple post -mortem would have exonerated them. But we seem to have a penchant for professional incompetence and and inefficiency on this side of the planet
