Iran is humiliating America at every turn. They are prepared to wait out the US for a long time. Next week, Trump will be visiting president Xi if China. Iran knows that if the war is still ongoing, Trump will be discussing with Xi from a position of weakness.

Another thing is memorial weekend is 2 weeks away in the US. With summer approaching, a lot of Americans will be travelling. The increased fuel prices will generate so much anger against the Trump led government.

By the end of May, most countries will have run out of crude in their strategic reserves. At that point, we will likely have crude oil approaching the 200 dollar range.
