I'm still in shock Governors and Lawmakers from states like Lagos, Rivers, Oyo etc didn't ask for more allocation from VAT they generate
Re: What States Contributed To The VAT Pool And What They Received In February 2026 by Arkmanbuddy(m): 12:35pm On May 11
We have to revisit the VAT sharing formula for states. We can be having some states earning more VAT and getting less than what they contributed, while others contribute way lesser and get more, often 200% more. It's ridiculous!

This is making many governors lazy, depending on others for payment of recurrent expenses.

Can we see what they did with the money to improve government services and public utilities, through the number of civil servants hired and paid to do the jobs huh
Re: What States Contributed To The VAT Pool And What They Received In February 2026 by Image123(m): 1:52pm On May 11
The people who contribute least will wail the most about their entitlement to tax payers money. They'll gnash teeth about how they are responsible for developing the country and are being neglected. Then they'll surprisingly brag about how they don't need the country. Is their disease not worse than Hantavirus or any pandemic? SMH

None consistently in the bottom 50% deserves to be president, vice president or senate president in a normal country.

The combination of the Lagos & Oyo alone is more than the entire contribution of some regions. Yet Oyo & Lagos get pittance in return

Lagos, Oyo, river should change it for Nigeria government concerning sharing formulars. All those lazy governors should be relegated to local government. South West have two states that can stand on their own and prosper. Northern states should do more and generate high igr instead of collecting fat igr from the federal purse and sending cows to hajj like katsina state.
Re: What States Contributed To The VAT Pool And What They Received In February 2026 by esnbrutality: 2:00pm On May 11
Sure...

So support Biafra so Lagos and Oyo can have all the money to themselves

What does an average Nigerian benefits from all these? in a country that our people are killed on daily basis because of agenda of the elites to introduce GMO, take farming away from the poor and build digital prison around us using digital/biometric ID.
