They are all MAD. We no send their Mama. I have graduated from two Polytechnics and four universities, I am presently still studying at another university. Yet, I refused to do BSc, I have my HND, PGD and multiple Masters both Nigeria and abroad.

No BSc holder has ever made me regret having HND as my foundation in any of the universities that I schooled

This is the best response for the polytechnic certificate holders. Many polytechnic leavers thought they were being smart by taking the easy way out by avoiding university education because it is too rigorous but they later start crying of discrimination when the university graduate is reaping the benefits of his hard work

Polytechnics aroundd the world strongly complement university output. It is only in black Africa where it has morphed into a deadly rivalry.

From office politics of witchcraft to outright sabotage of uni effort to concealment of privileges. From archaeological evidences, it is becoming clearer by the day that Africa was the location of the first babylon. The way we behave to this day points to that also. The level of strife(internal struggle) is greatest here in africa.

Degree done after B.Sc.. it's also belongs to the group of M.Sc and Ph.D.

You do a PGD if you finish with a low class of Degree for B.Sc.. or you are switching a course read during B.Sc.

After PGD you proceed to M.Sc

It's a 2 years part time program it will upgrade your hnd to a full bsc.. top up is different from pgd.

You can do top up in UK and have your degree in a year or two depends on the university, but everything in Nigeria must be hard

i think the rationale behind it is that there are some core courses that a BSC holder is supposed to have passed during their undergraduate study and so the Hnd holders are required to do them before their degree can be equated to BSC in that field.. and it isn't limited to HND holders.. BSC holders who had low grades are required to upgrade their certificate by doing PGD.. plus BSC holders who are changing their career path in a related discipline are also required to do PGD

Please is it possible to do a BSc top up program in a different course if I already have a BSc degree?

Like applying for BSc top up artificial intelligence with a bsc in history education

no i dont think. E.g if you have HND in quantity surveying, you can only apply for b.sc quantity surveying, you can change course in top up
