grin God bless you for this testimony and enlightening alot of ignorant mind who are clouded by hate and bitterness just because this beautiful project is not sited in their neck of woods……when we tell them, this light rail is a success story and vision of Tinubu and continued by his successors and can’t even be found in some countries and constructed by a sub national…ignorant mind will be here displaying their lack of knowledge yet not willing to learn undecided

That is what we have been saying. Rail lines are a way more effective and cost efficient transportation system from point to point and for long term, stable efficiency much faster than road and even air transport.

That is why it is a wonder why the Federal government does not see it as an imperative to invest in a nationwide rail network linking all the city state capitals but insists on building more new roads.

You cannot travel interstate and not be menaced by heavy duty and long haul trucking which cost more than just lives regularly but degrade the road infrastructure badly and consume horrendous amounts of fossil fuels.

Nigeria needs better vision for better prospects if we hope to industrialize, develop and prosper.
Top post. On point on so many levels. Most developed nation of the world, as you identify, prioritise internal rail travel because it convey people and cargo.

Interconnected rail travel should be one of the cornerstone of rebuilding a great and industrialised Nigeria.

I read a report yesterday ( see below) that depressed me.

Your talk I have highlighted in bold just reminded me of it. Personally depressing for me that most Nigerians don't understand how far behind we have fallen and the extraordinary effort each and everyone of us must put in to make Nigeria great and industrialised.

Mauritius is even above us in large-scale industrialisation quotient 😭😭😭

If you are Nigerian, then you are 24 carat Gold. Nigeria cannot rise with the negativity engulfing our nation currently where so many only want to highlight negatives.

The lagos Metro rail system is class-leading as the only one of it's kind in West Africa and the envy of nations like Ghana, Cameroon, CIV etal.

Yet, guess those who attack and demarket it most? Nigerians !!!

Thanks for this post .

In the haste to be negative always, you have tripped on your untied shoelaces. The Blue line terminates at Marina and you are claiming "not even laid a single rail track after the Mile 2 station".

Na Mars or Togo you dey live to have written the bolded?

Bruv, friendly advice. You harm yourself alone with the negativity you seem to be allowing to consume you.

When you are always about negatives, never even once about celebrating positives, don't you understand that is the precursor of a sad and failed life?
He's right. What you posted is the project plan. There are no rail tracks after Mile 2.

Ethiopia is rapidly expanding its modern railway network, focusing on linking industrial hubs to Red Sea ports and enhancing urban connectivity. Key projects include a $1.58 billion rail line connecting northern Ethiopia to Djibouti ports, local construction of an eco-tourism railway, and high-speed passenger links between Addis Ababa and new airport facilities.Major Railway Projects and Developments (2025–2026)Northern Line to Red Sea Ports: The Ethiopian Railway Corporation (ERC) is pursuing a $1.58 billion, 216 km standard-gauge railway linking the north to Red Sea ports of Tadjourah, Assab, and Massawa to improve trade access.
Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway:
The 756 km electrified line, which has been in commercial operation since 2017, continues to be a central trade corridor, with new 3–5 km feeder lines connecting industrial zones like AMG Industrial Park and Geda Economic Zone to the main network
.Eco-Tourism Railway: Ethiopia is nearing completion of its first domestically built 5 km eco-tourism railway, aimed at connecting tourist sites to the national rail network, with localized construction lowering costs.
High-Speed Airport Link: A new high-speed passenger train (120–200 km/h) is planned to connect Addis Ababa (Bole Area) to a new airport project near Bishoftu, potentially making it the fastest in sub-Saharan Africa.
Awash-Kombolcha-Hara Gebeya Railway: Maintenance is being finalized on this line, with efforts led by Ethiopian engineers to make it operational.
Compare the cost.

I live on that route, use the train and can confirm that the last bus stop is Mile 2. There are no tracks afterwards for now.

I'm sure you don't live in Lagos, why are you arguing about what you don't understand?

Th train journeys from Marina to Mile 2 multiple times daily. After Mile 2 are other areas like Alakija, Abulado....till Okoko where it ought to end but they're in court with Ojo residents who are resisting demolition.

God bless your generation of those whose heart are pure - that can See Tomorrow from today.
If those who have been Ruling Nigeria since Independence in 1960-1963 then till now could See A Bigger Picture 🖼️,
Nigeria as a Country will be Flying 🪽 by Now like China.
But Instead of them to Appreciate what is happening, they pretend and build lies around their Ethnic chavinism,
Tribal gingosts and
Religious Bigots- through Manipulations,Hates and Bitterness, which has not added any values to their own lives!
We appreciate what the APC is doing in Lagos State but we know they can do better and They Must Do Better!

Lagos dey try shaa...but honestly with the wealth of this country Nigeria don suppose pass this stage but what can we say!..make we dey celebrate the little our leaders provide for us out of pity from the looting goin on....in my state Benue state, the current leadership has proven to me that Nigeria can develop beyond the reach of other countries if we have the right leadership. Despite the insecurity and high level of sabotage the governor is trying his best to put one or two on ground. In my village, my people has never experienced government presence before but as I speak the road which almost became unusable during raining season even by foot is almost in it's 70 percent completion stage..... Hallelujah..we give God praise and than gov Alia...
I only see AUDIO wealth all over the country, PLEASE tell me about the wealth you are referring to. Break it down or make a list please I cant see it .

Thank you.

"Who has", not "who have"

Singular, not plural.

Are you more than one person?

Are you legion?

Are you possessed?

Or just ins@ne
Whats the insult for?

It seems you are an Obi.

Obi is a just a person like you. He too will die (Read Psalms 146:3-4).

The insults were totally uncalled for.
