You seem not to be medically oriented. Whenever you see liver cancer, the biggest culprits are hepatitis viruses. The liver is one of the strongest organs in the body and it doesn't pack up easily. Once you see a case of liver cancer, it is usually related to chronic hepatitis infection. Then alcohol intake speeds up the death of the liver. That is why in the hospital when a case of jaundice is reported, we do hepatitis tests together with Liver function test

Ordinary poor eating habit, Fatty liver or alcohol can lead to liver cancer if unchecked.

Not every hepatitis b is active, some are inactive which doesn't pose a threat to the liver. The thing is hepatitis b & alcohol do not mix at all, alcohol is naturally bad for the liver.
