afrodoc:naija requires paranoia because when you read about what some people get up to apparently bukas found that panadol softens meat so pandaol is now used in cooking meat fufu takes maybe three days to prepare - now people use chemicals to speed the process bananas are artificially ripened with benzene plantain chips are fried in transformer oil as for those who are adulterating drinks - if you see the videos of where it goes down you go fear then you have ndlea busting METH labs in highbrow parts of lekki - which means the residue is every where |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by afrodoc(m): 2:47pm On May 13 |
GloriousGbola:What! Panadol used as a meat tenderiser? That can cause kidney injury but is actually more likely to cause liver injury and possible acute liver failure if the dose is high enough. Imagine the wickedness. Yet another case of Nigerian leaders being wicked to their innocent citizens. So eating food in Nigeria has now turned to Squid Game. |

Amigoos1:Using state funds for Hajj in a place where insecurity and massive poor education and out of school kids is rife is a blatant misplacement of priorities. I don't even believe in government involvement in state sponsored religious pilgrimage. If individuals no fit foot their religious travels bills, make dem go rest. This is one of the major problems of Nigerians, rent seeking. We still depending on government to fund our religious beliefs. 🤦🏽♂️ Nigerians are not serious people. I'm hardly even seeing the benefits of religious pilgrimage to the state. It's even funnier Nigeria intends to spend about 12bn naira for religious pilgrimage this year for less than 50,000 people in a region that's experiencing insecurity and an active war zone. Just shows our unseriousness. |

abduleez1:rest assured, if a governor up north decides to stop funding hajj the outcry will be even louder than subsidy they will call the guy an agent of shaitan |

The woman who owns BON bread has terrible advisers Sha. And her lawyers just dey steady milk her ignorance and lack of good advisers /video/1?s=46 |

BlueRayDick:How many years will it take them to check the bread if it contains dangerous ingredients or not. This is not about having bad advisers, she is losing money by the day |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by TemporaryHansel(m): 3:30pm On May 13 |
BlueRayDick:NPF as an organization is useless. The whole force needs to be disbanded entirely, if you say the current ones should be reorientated it's just a waste of time and won't work. They don't even obey the IGP. So, people shouldn't review products they purchased again? Why are most Africans so scared of criticism?? If you don't want people to review your products then quit producing anything na. NPF is always available for the highest bidder. A total disgrace, just like their military counterparts. |

GloriousGbola:I don't know about y'all but I think the way EFCC harassed and handled the Finance guy issue was I collaboration with the US govt. My own thinking at the time, was that Nigeria was used as a proxy to signal forced regulatory authority and tougher scrutiny for crypto and other digital currency holders. It signalled tougher regulation and trying to bring crypto handlers to the fold, forcibly. A crackdown. The way the US was mostly mum about the issue despite how public it was for a US citizen was pretty much suspicious. |

Amigoos1:I dont agree with the bold, there are some people who have learned sewing but do not have money to buy a machine, Distributing machines make them economically viable to themselves and they stop being a burden on the state in the future Unlike Hajj or Jerusalem I think sewing machine can be categorized as asset not sure abut Hajj or Jerusalem |

iamoyindamola:Who do you want to check the bread? She (the owner of BON bread ) is the one that labelled her bread as containing dangerous ingredients by her own admission. The lady never claimed their bread was bad, she(the owner) assumed and gave her bread PR by her actions. Now she is writing to the lady to clarify whether it is their bread she was referring to or not after she already arrested the lady based off her assumption. If she had good advisers, they would've told her the whole arrest of the reviewer was a bad move that will result to bad image for her. Now because they don't have any evidence to tie the woman , they are trying to trick her into either indicting herself or help them save the little remaining of their battered public image. |

GloriousGbola:Not just the North, almost every state. I remember when Bisi Akande in 2002 retired teachers who were taking redundant subejcts, e.g A school with 7 IRK teachers, 8 Govt teachers, 10 Yoruba teachers, Zero Chemistry teacher, 1 Physics teacher, 2 Maths teachers(One of them is NYSC) That was why Bisi Akande lost re-election in Osun 2003 with the oppnent promising to rehire all the retired redundant teachers Also when Fayemi in Ekiti decided that for teachers you must be able to take the WAEC exam for your subject and score 50%. He lost re-election for it when Fayose used the policy against him In SouthWest, Issues as basic as wearing Hijab to missionary or christian schools has caused a lot of flashpoints, |

BlueRayDick:Then why is the woman coming out every market days when she won't mention the bread name, if she wants to help she can mention the bread name and what is put there. How's the information she gave going to help us because normally you and I can't have a bread for 2 months, we have a lot of problems in the country than to be following bread ingredients around because some of them won't write the real ingredients. Make she get out Abeg, she's only farming the content for the gram jare, she has the proof then use it. |

BlueRayDick:Very appropriate when we were just discussing about harmful ingridients in everyday food Na so we go dey use Omo cook ponmo give people chop and wonder why people fall sick inexplicably NAFDAC and SON have a lot of work to do, but they will be risking their lives because of how many sellers believe its a legit way of making business from fake drugs, to unsafe food processing |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 3:55pm On May 13 |
raumdeuter:same way oshiomole had to backtrack on sacking teachers . not sure if el-rufai also backtracked striaghtforward on paper but when you execute it will become you are wicked you have no human feeling, you have no heart, etc etc |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 3:59pm On May 13 |
raumdeuter:a colleague who had worked in guiness said they went to meet akunyuli to discuss how to counter fake guiness in the market and she told them flat out - there is nothing you can do - periodically you will change your packaging. this woman was this close to being assassinated when she went after fake drug merchants and no on was ever arrested my personal experience is that Nigerians as a whole are in love with sentiment and have no moral filter. they will find a way to justify anything - even fake drugs - original too cost - he is helping people etc etc |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 4:03pm On May 13 |
iamoyindamola:Somebody was arrested for a crime she didn't commit, and you say why is she coming out ? She advised people to be watchful and observe what they consume ; she doesn't need to mention any brand name. It may not be only BON bread that has the issue, it can be any other brand in your own area. She is only coming out because BON bread had her arrested after making a video that didn't have their name mentioned but the owner assumed it was her bread (Most likely because she knows she is as guilty as charged). If you don't find her information useful, others do o. In fact, there had been other content creators that had made videos about other bread brands too. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 4:07pm On May 13 |
raumdeuter:Regulators in Nigeria most times adopt reactive approach instead of proactive approach to regulations and consumer education. What NAFDAC should've done was to release a statement clarifying if it was safe to eat bread that don't go bad within a week or two. Up till now, I doubt they've done anything like that. If they do that, they can put to rest the debate of whether a particular bread was good for consumption or not. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by iamoyindamola(m): 4:15pm On May 13 |
BlueRayDick:There's actually nothing useful to work with in the information For example we were just told what to avoid and how to detect early signs of kidney and liver damage Easy peasy She came out saying there are breads that can stay 2 months, how can we know the bread or the name or the ingredients we don't know So the videos are for what exactly |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by iamoyindamola(m): 4:19pm On May 13 |
raumdeuter:Thank you I This particular woman didn't even mention one clue and she claim she looking out for us, i grew up knowing bromate is not good in bread and there are ways to detect bromate in bread But this particular new ingredient that makes bread stay longer is surely not good for health and she can't even mention it , what's now the point of the whole videos To catch cruise? |

GloriousGbola:At this moment, State governors just employ people just to pay them salaries or give them stupid things to do like Aregbe employing grauates to sweep the road in what he called OYES corp, Now no govt after Aregbe can dare stop that program otherwise they will be in trouble What governors who lose elections usually do is to quickly hire a large number of people so that the incoming govt will either have to use scarce resources to continue paying them (Then state go broke or struggle) or the incoming govt sack them then it becomes "You have no heart |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 4:22pm On May 13 |
iamoyindamola:The same way she found out some bread can stay 2 months without getting bad, u are also encouraged to subject ur favorite bread in area to that test. Keep ur favorite bread for that period of time and u will see what u have been consuming for years. It's that simple. She can't help u to know the status of ur favorite bread u eat in ur own area. |
