If they overstep their boundaries. They will still be killed in the first day of war. And their only response will be some barrage of missles at some countries, to destroy some military equipments that can be replaced in few months. America budget $700 billion to 1 trillion for defence every year. Replacing equipments that cost some tens of billions should not be a big deal. By the way, the biggest obstacle that Trump faced in the war is public opinion and the upcoming mid-term. Iran was just all drama and propaganda, using American social media products. You why he is reluctant to win there: he has elections to win.
