The Nigerian used car market prices is going down due to low patronage. Cars that average cost 4.5m now sell for less than 4m, no one is still buying. Its sad, the economy has really taken a heavy hit, Nigerians are on survival mode and have no money to buy cars.

Due to Low Patronage? I am not surprised one bit since those middle men at the Nairaland Auto Section are deliberately overinflating the prices of their “Accidented” or “Flooded” or “Stolen” vehicles just to paint the Tinubu Administration in bad light while blaming their greed & covetousness on the Foreign Exchange rates that has been stable for a while now. If you’re bored and wants to see how greedy & Godless some people can be, just check out the profiles of “Hubcruzzz” and “Largemanautoss” on Nairaland and you will almost weep for them. These guys seem to think they love money more than the rest of us. If these cars are clean titles, I wouldn’t mind, but SALVAGED vehicles that they got for next to nothing? If they do not blame it on the Dollar rates, they will blame on Customs. 2107 Lexus RX350 F-Sport that others are selling for 35 Million, these guys are selling it for 85 Million. What about ML350? I have been telling them that those cars will rot in their parking lots. They think they are doing Tinubu. |

Tinubu has destroyed a once prosperous country. Nigerians are broke - people are living on packaging |

buy a car that some one has used the hell out of, before you see a good nigeria use its by chance, people rather save up for toks than add extra burden to their life |

It won’t go down unless inflation reduces to a sustainable level, cars will only be for the rich as time goes on. Demand will definitely drop but the prices won’t because of inflation and exchange rate. |

I do not agree with this. Maybe it is a particular situation that you have generalized. Car dealers, middle men and owners prefer the cars stand and rust instead of coming down on set price. It is mostly genuine distress situations that the prices are less. The rest na audio. |

Car price is supposed to come down only after the implementation of the new tariff in the next 2 months or so. |
