Fasting brings about a renewal of one's mind and spirit. It makes you very sensitive to spiritual issues

Yes
Our God is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and rich in faithful love, goodness and truth. He keeps and maintains His promises, faithful love and mercy for thousands of generations, forgiving iniquity, transgression and sin, but will not fail to visit the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and grandchildren down to the third and fourth generation.

That you are alive and typing and reading this is because He is merciful and gracious and slow to anger and rich in faithful love, goodness and truth.

Shalom
Mugu , so that Satan is alive today and tormenting you is also because your mumu god gave him life to continue making you suffer.

Your god is also merciful to Satan and waiting for him to repent that’s why he gave him life hahhahahhahahhaha

The prophecy of Isaiah has applied to you:
You will listen and listen but not understand; look and look but not see; because your mind is dull and your heart has become vulgar, your ears have been closed and your eyes tightly shut. Otherwise you would have seen with your eyes, heard with your ears, and understand with your heart, and then change your ways and turn to God who will heal you

Fasting has both physical and spiritual benefits and I feel they are intertwined. Fasting clears out certain toxins from the body. Evil resides in those toxins. Fasting clears out all that evil bad energy, upgrading the body (which is the vessel through which the anointing flows ) to a higher capacity.

Prayers become more effective/powerful during fasting. That's why the disciples could not cast out a particular demon and Jesus later told them that kind of demon can only come out through prayer AND fasting.

The more consecutive days you fast, the greater the effectiveness. Also dry fast is more potent but its not advisable to exceed 7 days when doing dry fast.

Fast for your health. Give your guts room to breathe and rest. There is nothing spiritual or anointing about fasting. Don't defend it with quotations from the exact book/tool of indoctrination which spreads fear.

How did Kenneth Hagins know that it was Jesus that appeared to him in 1952? In many Psychiatric wards all over the world are people who hear imaginary things. Define hallucination.

/
In the Spirit realm, knowing is instant. When you're in the Spirit, of you see your great great grandmother you will instantly recognize her without any prior knowledge

Fasting kills the flesh and helps the spirit..
When your flesh begins to cloud ur spiritual being.. fasting is very good... Put the flesh into subjection... In turn , the anointing that was there be4, will be able to find expression... The grace is constant.. it is not by works , but by faith... But when works comes as a result of faith, it gives life and it becomes a consecration that gives life...

This is true sir
Moreover the words of the person quoted, shows the type of preaching and preachers in the forefront..
Not gonna lie,our gospel now spreads fear, instead of love..
We will be better

Scripture says, follow after love and desire spiritual gifts.
Fasting is in tandem with the above instruction. When you fast to desire the spiritual, you're also working in love.

judewrites:
Anointing flows like electricity 🔌 through faith by God's Word.

However, the level of anointing, just like electricity can be increased through fasting...all believers are anointed, but aren't operating on the same level.

Some believers operate in higher levels of anointing like pastor EA Adeboye because of a consecrated life of fasting often.

Are you willing to pay the price to be highly anointed?
Have you paid the price to be highly anointed through fasting?

You are right, the essence of fasting is not to enhance the anointing but the material carrying it. Let's assume anointing is like water or any other fluid or liquid that is precious like petrol for instance , in some scenarios they flow through pipes as channels of distribution. The anointing is like the petrol it doesn't diminish but the pipe can have blockages preventing the flow, then fasting is the means of removing the blockages same way fasting helps in removing toxins from our bodies
Where does the Bible teach this?
Re: The Anointing That Comes Through Fasting by Truthseeker10: 4:31pm On May 13

Is it just fasting or fasting and prayer?

When you fast without prayer...your physical body benfits from it. You are not different from people doing OMAD, intermittent fasting etc

But with fasting n prayers, your spirit benefits, the annointing fatten the yoke and chains are broken

Mk 9:29

The disciples ask the Lord why they were not able to cast out the demon. Jesus tells them,  “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting
So if all Christians were to fast and pray in Nigeria, will they experience any form of poverty and insecurities?

Any biblical evidence on the above?

[quote author=Truthseeker10 post=139397923]the essence of fasting isn’t to “create” more anointing, it’s to deal with the vessel carrying it.

Think of it like this: the anointing is like petrol, and we’re the pipes. The petrol itself doesn’t run out or diminish, but if the pipe is blocked, nothing flows. Fasting is one of the ways God uses to clear out those blockages — the distractions, the flesh, the spiritual weight — so there’s nothing hindering the flow.

The Bible actually shows this pattern in the scriptures you’re talking about:

1. We’re called vessels
2 Cor 4:7 says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.”
And 2 Tim 2:21 says, “Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.”

The focus is on the vessel being clear, not on making more treasure.

2. Fasting removes hindrances
In Isaiah 58:6,9 God says, “Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free… Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’”
And in Matt 17:21 , Jesus tells the disciples, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer and fasting.” The blockage was in them, not in Him.

3. Our body is the temple
1 Cor 6:19-20 reminds us, “Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you… glorify God in your body.” Fasting helps us deal with the flesh and distractions so the Spirit isn’t grieved or quenched.

So fasting doesn’t add to God. It aligns and cleanses us so what’s already in Him can flow freely through us.

But you compared our body to pipe and claim that fasting deals with the body so as to increase the flow of the anointing. What verse in the bible claims that?
