Senator Gbenga Daniel has stated he will defer to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding his bid to return to the Senate.

Speaking on national television, Daniel, who represents Ogun East, acknowledged his ongoing friction with Governor Dapo Abiodun over the party ticket but insisted he would not oppose the President’s wishes.

Daniel criticised recent “endorsements” of Abiodun as the consensus candidate, describing them as coerced. “There was no consensus. Consensus means all parties agree.

“What we see are endorsements by government agents,” Daniel said.

While he called for a free and fair primary, he affirmed: “If the President asks me to step down for Abiodun, I will. He is the leader of the party.”

Abi you've already done so. Baba alatenuje. Every ambitious politicians should just learn from your likes. Don't enter politics with the aim of shortchanging the masses but to deliver dividends of democracy to them because, the income you're gonna make from these masses as your emolument still comes from them, either in taxes, royalties or proceeds from natural resources like our oil and should be enough.

Don't cheat the poor because of one thing... nemesis and it doesn't matter if you're rich, poor, religious or atheistic. It's a messenger from God. It must deliver the message. Who could ever believe this man would pitch his tents near the super corrupt and inept apc today? The best governor of the year at a time. Anyone who knew his antecedent would save me an epistle of him. Now, where are the loots?

As for me I would have prefer another candidates apart from this 2 ex governors who are known for colossal incompetence & failures . Both of them didn’t deliver to the good people of Ogun state but the recent governor is more worse and he still have the nerves to say he want to go and represent the good people of Ogun east at the senate . Must we always recycle old politicians who have been tested & failed when we can give other people chances to also come & prove themselves.
