Good move, but make sure the pensioners are not denied their money when needed. One of them were told yesterday that there is no money to pay them now. What a country! |

AngelSlay:Two or three pensioners have told me what they are going through in the hands of PenCom. What shocked me was when one them told me that before his retirement, he notify asking them if there's anything that needed to be done to make his funds available? They asked if he has enrolled he said yes. They said ok. Reaching out to them after retirement and they said he came late for his own money. Thank God that the matter is in court right now. |

“PFAs are required to ensure that all investments made under this dispensation are in compliance with their internal investment policies, risk management frameworks, and fiduciary duties to contributors and retirees,” it noted. This is stylishly rubbing the Nigerian worker. Why not allow the contributor to withdraw the funds themselves from their pension contributions solely for the purpose of purchasing the IPO, so that the money is taken from the funds administrator and immediately credited to Dangote for the purchase of the IPO for them? In this case all the gains go to the Nigerian worker's account. Why should PFAs be allowed to suddenly start buying IPOs when they were not allowed to do so prior now . Why instantly change the rules against the interest of the contributors and in favour of the PFAs and, of course indirectly, Pencom?I hope that they have not worked out an evil machination with the funds administrators to short change the Nigerian worker's years of labouring by putting themselves in the middle? Because in the end you may only get what your PFA declares for you from what I can deduce. When it comes time for the Nigerian worker to enjoy his years of painstaking contributions to building a functional society, another evil in the name of a new policy shows up to deny them? I hope that I am wrong though but the signs are too glaringly obvious to ignore ![]() I use this medium to humbly call on the attention of our dear @The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria @House of Representatives to kindly look into this issue because of its far-reaching implications. |

These Pfas are d real money spinners.. u hold onto billions of our funds.. no interest no dividends,, yet u invest same funds n make money for urselves n remit same to ur pickets while pension funds remain static over years n depreciate tru high inflation rates.. Such a pity for poor pensioners,, who Labour in vain |

GreenCovering:Sounds good on paper but not realistic Pension fund administration is backed by written guidelines Your suggestion is against the guideline and also against the principle of pension fund administration. Also if this happens the contributor has become the manager. A ctributior can not take up the role of a pension fund manager |

Smart move, But by the time banks, insurance firms, pfa's, mutual funds, state govts, and sovereign wealth funds all position into dangote, where will the retail investors fit in? If you miss this IPO, you snooze! Except They overpriced it... It will be +300% well oversubscribed, later overvalued and eventually 3x in ROI. Before coming back down to fair value. This is a game changer for retail investors. |
