Lady who rejected suitor twice seeks advice after he married her younger sister

Lady who rejected suitor twice seeks advice after he married her younger sister
A Nigerian woman has sparked widespread reactions online after opening up about her growing resentment towards her younger sister, who eventually married a man that once proposed to her.

In a lengthy post shared by a user on X, the woman admitted feeling hurt, embarrassed and replaced after discovering that the wealthy man she rejected years ago later married her younger sister.

According to her, the man had proposed to her twice, but she turned him down because she was unsure about his financial status at the time.

She explained that the man later met her younger sister and proposed to her without knowing they were related. Her sister accepted the proposal, and the relationship quickly progressed into marriage.

The woman said the man only discovered they were sisters when he visited their family home for the bride price introduction.

Narrating her frustration, she revealed that the man is now financially successful, working as an accountant while also running businesses in the city.

She lamented that despite his wealth, she has no direct access to financial help from him because he always tells her to pass through her younger sister whenever she asks for assistance.

According to her, the younger sister only gives her between ₦45,000 and ₦55,000 occasionally, despite allegedly receiving close to ₦700,000 from her husband regularly.

The woman further claimed that her sister gives both their parents and her husband’s mother about ₦150,000 each monthly, yet refuses to support her salon business.

She wrote that she had repeatedly begged her younger sister to help equip her salon, which would cost around ₦900,000 to ₦1 million, but her requests were constantly turned down.

The woman accused her sister of trying to outshine and belittle her as the first child in the family.

She admitted that watching her younger sister financially support the family while she struggles has left her feeling ashamed and emotionally hurt.

In her words, she believes her younger sister’s actions are making her appear irresponsible because she is currently unable to support their parents financially.

The emotional post read partly: “Pls, I need serious advice. I know it’s my mistake, but hear me out. A man came & proposed to me twice, & I rejected his proposal cuz I didn’t have full information about his financial status.

“The guy was too impatient. Somehow he met my sister then went ahead & proposed her. Actually, he didn’t know we’re related. She accepted him so easily. They went ahead & got married.”

She continued: “The issue here is that the man is an accountant. He also runs businesses in the city. He is a rich man. When I ask for money from him, he tells me to pass through my sister.”

The woman also admitted nursing bitterness towards her younger sister over the situation.

“Most times, i feel she’s doing all these things especially giving our parents allowances every month as financial support and at the same time refusing to help me so i can also stand on my feet is cuz she wants to show off or probably belittle me.”

She concluded by expressing deep emotional pain over feeling replaced as the first child.

“I honestly feel so embarrassed & hurt as a first child. I’m truly hurt watching my sister trying to take my place as the first born. I feel ashamed, It’s embarrassing & I can’t help but nurse hatred for her.”

Did you sought for our advice when you were rejecting men up and down? Now that the chips are down you want us to beg the man or your sister?
Move on with your life, your sister had taken the burden of caring or your parents and siblings, so continue to hustle and wait for the richest man to come.

I no bother reading the entire story because I don already know say she go try to gaslight the guy ex and the sister. She go blame everybody else except herself grin
I keep on saying that "women are the custodian of sex while men are the custodian of marriage". As a woman, you have to be careful when you dey your prime because you may mistakenly lost good men wey genuinely love you. See how she don lost out and she go dey blame everybody except her bad choice. Anyways, that's really not my business sha. Imagine say all these babes wey we dey chop for street for free today made the right choice, where we for see free kpekus dey drill? Every disappointment is a blessing in disguise jare. Dear ladies, ladies you can't miss out on two things, you will either get your choice partner by your right choice or get the right street drillers (us) by your wrong choice. Either way, you go get your choice laslas

What do I even know sef aside enlightening my fellow men nationwide with the good news of DNA test

Warning: I didn't read all that but here's my take.

It's very rare to chase sisters from a household. If the elder sister isn't sensible why do you want to go to the younger one and have a problematic in-law.

It doesn't just make sense.. unless it's purely by accident or he's very rich or handsome, or they are in a village..it'll never get to the marriage stage.

So most likely a fake story

All these stories you guys form everyday just for content.

According to her, the younger sister only gives her between ₦45,000 and ₦55,000 occasionally, despite allegedly receiving close to ₦700,000 from her husband regularly.

Perish all thoughts of entitlement from your brain. He is not responsible for you or your affairs.

“Most times, i feel she’s doing all these things especially giving our parents allowances every month as financial support and at the same time refusing to help me so i can also stand on my feet is cuz she wants to show off or probably belittle me.”

Another insecurity and they always project it onto you. It's always about them. Selfish and jealous.
