I came to check whether you wrote about the water issue. Good to know you were honest about it.

@Rapmoney: What's the attitude of policemen in Enugu? Do they harass young men who dress well and drive nice cars? You know how it's in Warri.

That water issue is an IQ problem. There are topographically worse places that have water. Enugu shouldn't be an exception.
It is not an iq problem

Enugu likely because of coal does not have your conventional water table

I have overseen multiple retail projects in Enugu and water is always a nightmare.

Standard borehole will not work

Industrial borehole is 50/50 and may pack up after a time.

The governor is trying to sort it out but it likely means they have to locate an aquifer deeeeeep in the earth.

Sorry, but I still believe it's a failure of the elites. Water can be piped from elsewhere. It must not be from Enugu City itself, which many have stated is where the problem only exists. There is not science and engineering cannot solve, and certainly basic water supply isn't one of such.

I wonder what they study at UNN Geology and other related departments.

How is the weather like? Cool or warm?
Mostly sunny or rainy?

I need a very cool place for my next staycation.
It has a moderate weather but the dry seasons used to be really dried.

I enjoyed the first 18 years of my life in Enugu, and now the later 18 years everywhere else.
I still miss my 042. Always my home.

The weather is something you'll like....it's in-between, not harsh, cool and mild-sunny. It's cold during the night almost all thru the year.

What i observe there is that it's a windy city and has lots of trees. It's almost a sin not to have a single tree in your compound. These trees provide the greenery that gives Enugu it's beauty and set it apart from others. Apart from Calabar and Uyo, no other city competes with it's greenery.

I am of the opinion that Government should make laws to protect our environment and cool the air we take in, by making it compulsory to plant a minimum of 1 tree in every compound or building.

Enugu, a 2nd home for Imo state people. they are called (Ala bu otu) meaning- the land is the same. you d' be surprised that a 45yr old imo State man born in Enugu has never visited his state of origin, he also has children that don't know where imo state is located.
Not true about t45 years old man.

Grow up child, grow up.
The way we treat ourselves in this country gives other countries the audacity to mess us up outside.

I see most of these nonsense we do here as a result of failure in family home training. If you had good parenting you will learn how to love and not hating others because they don't agree with you or come from same tribe as you.

Grow up.

I lived in Enugu for 2 years. Good food, nice places to hangout, and beautiful and bold girls abound. Girls will literally chase after you.

Depending on the area. It used to be cheap but now becoming expensive like every other city due to inflation.

You can get a beautiful self con at GRA or Independence Layout, these are places for the upper class, for 700k. While a one bedroom goes for 1.2m.
A two bedroom goes for between 1.5 and 2 million depending on the finishing. However, there's house for everyone depending on your pocket and location.

It depends on the area.

In heart of town (New Haven, GRA, Independence Layout, New Layout, etc), budget 1.5 m

In other parts (Emene, Abakpa, Thinkers Corner, etc), 700k - 1 million should get you a decent miniflat

.do they have constant electricity light supply in Enugu..just asking

I did my youth service there 2020 precisely in Awgu in a small villa called obeagu.
Truly the place is a nice place to be except for the water issue.
Re: 10 Things You Should Know About Enugu by Jman06(m): 12:50pm On May 16
Nice one op. Let me emphasise that water scarcity does not happen in all parts of Enugu. There are some places that the wells or boreholes don't dry up even during dry season. Like the place I'm currently staying, our water supply systems run all-year round. I have water right inside my flat and enjoy water without stress!

The RSS officers do 'stop and search', but not basically to harass people.

About the water issue:

There are places in Enugu that all you need is to dig a 25 feet well, get a N60k pumping machine and you'll get water all year round.

Depends on the location
Re: 10 Things You Should Know About Enugu by favour32(m): 1:05pm On May 16
Enugu correct but na water be the major problem.

U forgot to add
11. The only state that goes to bed early and wake up late. These people are too docile, if u're someone that has lived in places like Lagos or some other busy cities, adapting to Enugu life style would be hard.
