BlueRayDick:Even at that level you are talking about, there is still a lot of competition from Basket Mouth, ali baba, Bovi Deyemi, Daddy Freeze, IK. If you notice most of these guys have other things dey do for money the comedians have comedy shows, the actors have movies but Frank since Who want to be a millionaire na just MC. When you see celebrities dey follow politicians even yahoo boys and musicians you go know say Man must survive |

GloriousGbola:How you take sabi Gazza? I am assuming you mean Gascoigne? Abi you dey sneak watch ball? Maybe na arsenal fan you be all these years wey shame no gree you identify with them |

Obi of Onitsha celebrated his 85th birthday Abia State Government threw a party for him. Anambra State government no even wish am Happy Birthday, talk more of party. Traditional stools don't command any respect like before. If a state governor wants to make that post irrelevant, he will. |

Lifestyle inflation is a real thing for these celebs. Primary and secondary schools dey Island wey dem dey collect like 45K a year (the ones dem dey collect 10-15K too many sef), and I've seen quite a number of celebs that their kids attend these schools. So while a guy like Frank could be pulling 6 figures in foreign currency yearly, the lifestyle he has his family living would have him struggling, same way a guy earning 500K a month and living above his means would struggle. |

Theflint1:8 figures like 10,000,000 and above? Odiegwu.... Impossicant |

BlueRayDick:My Brother The same primaries that they are bullying someone else for not contesting; Na the primaries we dey see so. From 21,31,50,100 To giving different times for different candidates To policemen who came to rig, running for their lives. Na this same primary dem wan use gaslight person as "Weak" This Same Primary wey I see yesterday! ![]() |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:24pm On May 17 |
izzou:So if you no wan contest primary what do you want? Just to be handpicked |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 2:26pm On May 17 |
izzou:I'm not sure when Frank and IK had this conversation, but I'm guessing it should be at least a decade ago. As at then Frank was charging 1.5M to emcee events.
|
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:27pm On May 17 |
raumdeuter:We are not talking about General election. Just to choose who will represent the party, and see the disgust oozing out of social media. If Primaries will be free and fair, why not? But see the shame everywhere. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by semid4lyfe(m): 2:27pm On May 17 |
izzou:Hin sense of money dey confuse me 1. He said Frank earns eight figures for hosting events. 2. He also said there are schools on the Island that charge 10 - 45k per year. How na? Theflint1, biko come and explain. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:29pm On May 17 |
Theflint1:Maybe it depends on the type of event sha |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:30pm On May 17 |
semid4lyfe: ![]() I think we overestimate the earnings of these people |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 2:34pm On May 17 |
semid4lyfe:10K USD na about 14Million a year. Quite a number of schools dey Island wey dey collect that amount across a year (I'm talking those ones running British, French and American Curriculum). Charter House Lagos charges around that 45K yearly. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 2:34pm On May 17 |
semid4lyfe:it is mainly corporate end of year parties that these guys will be called for gigs imho outside of that maybe emcee for some guys wedding or birthday and that will imho be based on the big mans preference |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by semid4lyfe(m): 2:41pm On May 17 |
Theflint1:Bruh, why you carrry elite foreign schools and USD schl fees enter the matter nah? Na wetin confuse me be that. ![]() But I get you now. I beg of you, no carry the conversation go above my pay grade. T for tenks. ![]() |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 2:42pm On May 17 |
izzou:You don dey add Maggi join simple statement wey e make ![]() How much do you think a guy like Frank, Ebuka or IK charge to emcee, that's on average? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:45pm On May 17 |
Theflint1:3 to 7 million for a one day event...I might be wrong. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 2:45pm On May 17 |
semid4lyfe:But na those kin schools these celebs dey carry their kids go na BamBam's daughter goes to Abraham Lincoln Darey Art Alade's child goes to another of these elite private schools. If you dey watch any of their end of year events for IG, you'd see these our celebs as parents there. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 2:49pm On May 17 |
izzou:I agree, his average might be around that range, but I don't think getting 8 figure emcee gigs would be anything completely crazy for one of the top emcees in the country. Portable last fight with Carter Efe, he said he collected around 40M. To invite Portable come event, you fit dey hear around 1M or even more sef...these our celebs collect good money, na the lifestyle Dem dey live fit con make them still dey struggle. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 3:00pm On May 17 |
Theflint1:Lets say 5m per gig average How many gigs you think say he will be getting in a year Lifestyle is part of why they are paying you that money. They might not pay Frank 5m if hes living at Agbado station driving a 2003 corolla wearing cut and sew |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by semid4lyfe(m): 3:07pm On May 17 |
Theflint1:Bruh, I do not doubt you. When you posted 10 - 45k, I thought it was in Naira and it seemed incredulous to me that a school on the Island was that cheap. These celebs put themselves under unnecessary pressure. Whatever happened to those mid to top tier level schools like The Grange, Corona, Vivian Fowler, and the likes? Just checked Abraham Lincoln school fees, and its 9.5 - 15m per year. These guys don't pull in million-level income consistently to be splurging like that. How many blockbuster cinema grade movies Teddy A dey act in a year, and how much dem dey pay am per role sef? How much Bambam collect for that Love in Every Word youtube movie wey she act? Omo, the maths is not mathing o.

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Ibime(m): 3:08pm On May 17 |
Theflint1:Frank ain't pulling no 6 figures in foreign currency yearly Let's say Frank pulls 5m-10m per show, how many shows per year will allow him to be taking trips abroad. One trip abroad will cancel one or two bookings. Let's even assume he has 12 shows per year, wetin go remain? Add school fees, Island living, keeping up appearances, traveling etc and it is indeed very likely that he is above his means. Na why we done dey hear photography yarns. He is a celebrity without multiple sources of income unlike those other comedians who earn from mcing, comedy shows and skits |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 3:16pm On May 17 |
Ibime:I dunno sha, but I doubt Frank Edoho's monthly income would be around 5-7M a month. Like you said, his lifestyle doesn't match the income of someone earning just that. And you can't say for certain that he doesn't have other sources of income. If no be AliBaba wey talk about his real estate investments, ordinary hearing his name you fit dey reason say na only entertainment dey give am money, and he's living broke. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A40(m): 3:19pm On May 17 |
Bombblacks:Ronda and Gina collaborated to rob people,Well Netflix. cos who puts two people wey never fight in a combined 27 years together to fight. I'm surprised they even made weight Ngannou vs Lins was a squash match. He was not even a top middleweight. Dana is responsible for this nonsense for being so greedy and not paying these guys so we can see the real heavyweights fight. No reason Ngannou and Jones shouldn't have fought already |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 3:26pm On May 17 |
Being a broke celebrity is probably worse than being a broke average guy The only thing you will have to show is the amount of Opueh wey you go don collect in your prime years I had a friend who used to roll in Naija football circles. Like 80% of ex footballers and sportsmen by mid 40s and above are worse than their age mates who just got a GTB or UBA job at 25 and continued to grow Celebrity life to me in some cases na just poison chalice, limelight without money to back it up, introduce you to a life and expectations you cant sustain Semid4lyfe mentioned Teddy A, I knew him when he dey make music. Some guys don hustle me to buy his mix tapes CD around 2011, many of his friends that year are now Mid management Tech guys, project managers, Nurses in Yankee who have built a quiet steady income family suburban lifestyle though I sure say TeddyA go get more babes around him |
