I honestly enjoy old movies. They have a unique vibe, strong storytelling, and real originality that’s hard to find these days.

*The punisher
*Bodyguard
*Police story

But why does everybody have to die in the end. In some of the movies, after facing convoluted monsters and battles and making daring escapes, they will all die in the end.

Some will even be seeing obvious danger and go into it. grin

Almost everyone didn't die in World War Z...the star family survived...abi is there another world war z?

I know part 2 is in the making and its not out yet...so you can't be referring to that.

I dont think you can compare an apocalyptic movie like World War Z with Final Destination.

They're titans in their own rights and genres.

FD is majorly Horror Thriller while WWZ is end of world apocalypse like Day of the Dead, Dawn of the living dead, etc

Speaking of unspeakable horror, if you have the stomach for it...go and see "IT" PART 1 & ESPECIALLY PART 2...

Then see "EVIL DEAD RISE"...thank me later😁😁😁...If you have the stomach for it o

These films leave us stunned, reeling from the unexpected twists that challenge our emotional investment in the characters. Whether it’s a horror flick, a war drama, or a deep psychological thriller, the element of surprise can turn a movie into a memorable experience. Here, we take a look at the top 10 movies where almost everyone dies, highlighting their chilling conclusions that keep audiences talking long after the credits roll.

1. The Mist (2007)

Frank Darabont’s adaptation of Stephen King’s novella presents a terrifying and claustrophobic scenario. After a mysterious mist engulfs a small town, a group of residents barricades themselves in a supermarket. As grotesque creatures emerge from the fog, paranoia rises, leading to a shocking finale where the protagonist, David Drayton, makes an unimaginable choice in a desperate attempt to save his son. The film’s conclusion is haunting and leaves viewers questioning the essence of humanity.

2. The Cabin in the Woods (2011)

In this horror-comedy that plays with genre conventions, five friends head to a remote cabin for a vacation. Unbeknownst to them, their every move is manipulated by unseen forces. As they navigate through disturbing scenarios, one by one, they’re picked off in gruesome fashion. The film culminates in a shocking revelation and a conclusion that suggests a darker truth about humanity’s need for sacrifice. “The Cabin in the Woods” cleverly critiques horror tropes while delivering an impactful ending.

3. World War Z (2013)

Based on Max Brooks' novel, “World War Z” features a globe-spanning zombie outbreak that escalates quickly. As ex-UN investigator Gerry Lane races against time to find a solution, he encounters chaos and death at every turn. The film's tension peaks as characters face impossible choices, leading to nearly everyone around Gerry meeting a grim fate. The rapid pace and harrowing scenarios make this an unforgettable entry in the zombie genre.

4. The Road (2009)

Adapted from Cormac McCarthy's novel, “The Road” is a post-apocalyptic film that explores the bond between a father and his young son. As the world around them crumbles, the emotional weight of the film culminates in a devastating and tragic ending, underscoring the fragility of life in desperate circumstances.

5. Hotel Artemis (2018)

This action-thriller offers a unique take on a futuristic world where criminals seek refuge. The titular hotel serves as a sanctuary for the wounded and hunted. The film’s gripping and thrilling conclusion encapsulates themes of survival and betrayal, culminating in a nearly fatal ending for all involved.

6. Final Destination (2000)

The original installment of this iconic horror franchise features a group of students who escape a deadly plane crash only to find themselves targeted by fate in unforeseen ways. As characters attempt to cheat death, almost everyone in the group meets a grisly end, reinforcing the idea that there’s no escaping fate.

7. Snowpiercer (2013)

This dystopian film follows the last remnants of humanity surviving on a perpetually moving train after a failed climate-change experiment. Social class struggles culminate in violence and sacrifice, and as the characters fight for their lives and the future, many meet their demise in gripping and brutal fashion. The shocking conclusion lays bare the consequences of societal divisions, leaving the audience to ponder profound ethical dilemmas.

8. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015)

As the final installment of the popular series, “Mockingjay - Part 2” delivers a riveting conclusion marked by heavy losses. Katniss Everdeen leads a rebellion against the oppressive Capitol, yet the battle comes at a high cost. Key characters meet their tragic fates, underscoring the harsh realities of war and sacrifice. The ending serves as a poignant reminder of the brutal nature of survival amidst rebellion.

9. The Hateful Eight (2015)

In Quentin Tarantino’s Western thriller, tensions run high among a group of strangers seeking shelter from a blizzard. As secrets are revealed and trust dissolves, violence erupts, leading to a string of shocking deaths. The showdown is intense, with the notion that everyone is a potential threat pushing the narrative toward its deadly conclusion. The film's mix of dialogue-driven tension and brutal action results in nearly every character’s demise.

10. Boys in the Trees (2016)

This Australian film intertwines nostalgia and horror, following two former friends who cross paths one Halloween night. As they delve into their memories, dark secrets surface, leading them to face the reality of their choices. The film’s supernatural elements and psychological depth culminate in a haunting conclusion that leaves most characters frightened or dead, reflecting on the haunting nature of regret and loss.
