Sportsweb:And that's why I blame Tinubu and any other president that will come on board and act like they are shocked. Tinubu came on board and began to use Security positions to satisfy his political friends. When Buhari was there, they were forgiving BH members and empowering repentant ones. We complained and said it was a stupeed decision Today, a Southern President is there and acting the same script. All the attacks that have happened, we hear of no prosecution. Taraba, Borno, Benue, Plateau.... Nothing. All the deceased family get is a condolence visit and that's all If you cannot make the economy easy for me, at least protect me enough to fight and survive. |

raumdeuter:This is not the time for that kind of delegation. The country is burning and collapsing. He has to act himself. The buck stops at his table. He said this himself. He controls the army and the police. The responsibility for national security ultimately rests with him. He has failed woefully so far. Things were not this bad when he was talking about buck stopping at the president's desk. What is good for the Jew is good for Uganda. |

afrodoc2:Exactly! I don't want to believe if today Tinubu tells the joint chiefs to either bring home surviving kidnapped Ogbomosho victims home or lose their jobs, they will come up with stories and lose their jobs. I want to believe we will see results instantly. That Oyo national park forest cannot be so big that if the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Airforce deployed major assets to comb it they won't bring home the rest of the kidnapped victims that are not yet decapitated. I don't think a terror group can be well equipped more than the military of a state like Nigeria, it is the willpower to get things done that is our problem in naija. If Tinubu the head is rotten due to his love for politics more than governance, what can the righteous do? |

TemporaryHansel:TROOPS THWART TERRORIST ATTACK, ARREST SUSPECTS, RESCUE VICTIMS IN SUSTAINED NORTH EAST OPERATIONS Troops of the Joint Task Force ( North East) , Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have recorded significant operational successes across the theatre, including the thwarting of a major terrorist attack, arrest of suspected collaborators, rescue of kidnapped victims, and surrender of terrorist associates. In a major development, troops of OPHK deployed at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Gajibo successfully thwarted a coordinated attack by a large number of suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists mounted on motorcycles and armed with support weapons. The terrorists were detected as they advanced towards the town from multiple directions. Troops responded swiftly with heavy firepower, including mortar engagements, forcing the attackers to withdraw in disarray. Subsequent exploitation led to the recovery of ammunition and combat accessories. No casualties were recorded among troops. In related operations, troops of OPHK in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) operatives arrested two suspected Boko Haram collaborators in Gubio town. The suspects, both cattle rearers, are currently in custody and undergoing further investigation. Similarly, troops, acting on credible intelligence obtained from a surrendered terrorist associate, arrested a suspected logistics supplier identified as Umar Ahmadu in Gwoza. The suspect reportedly confessed to supplying items to terrorists on multiple occasions and is currently under interrogation. Earlier, a 17-year-old family member of a terrorist surrendered to troops along the Gwoza–Limankara axis after escaping from a terrorist enclave in the Mandara Mountains. Preliminary findings indicate that sustained military pressure and lack of basic necessities within the enclave contributed to his decision to surrender. Further demonstrating operational effectiveness, troops of OPHK intercepted and rescued two male victims who had been kidnapped from Mafa town. The victims, who escaped from captivity under poor visibility conditions, have been handed over for further medical evaluation and necessary action. These coordinated operations highlight the sustained pressure being mounted on terrorist elements, targeting their mobility, logistics networks, and support structures. It is important to state that troops continue to maintain high vigilance and an aggressive operational posture to forestall any threat within the theatre of OPHK. The Joint Task Force reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to sustaining ongoing operations aimed at defeating terrorism and restoring lasting security, peace and economic stability across the North East region. Several ISIS Trainers from Iraq Among 175 Terrorists Killed in Joint Nigeria-US Airstrikes By: Zagazola Makama Several foreign ISIS trainers from Iraq were among 175 terrorists eliminated during ongoing joint counter-insurgency operations conducted in the joint United States Africa Command and Nigeria’s military airstrikes in North-East Nigeria. Sources who disclosed this on Tuesday described the coordinated offensives as a major breakthrough against the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) and allied terrorist networks operating within the Lake Chad region. According to the sources, the strikes, which commenced a few days ago, targeted terrorist camps, logistics hubs, weapons caches, checkpoints and financial networks used to sustain insurgent operations across parts of Borno and surrounding areas. The authorities said intelligence assessments confirmed that several foreign ISIS operatives and trainers linked to Iraq-based extremist networks were neutralised alongside scores of local fighters during the precision strikes. On ground assessment indicated that several foreign fighters also met their waterloo. The fighters were in charge of training and responsible for the ISWAP drone command. Sources said that the foreign trainers were planing to leave within two days before the strikes that eliminated several of them. Military had previously announced the killing of Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, aka Abbor Mainok described by the military as one of the most significant ISIS operatives globally and a key figure in the group’s international terror coordination structure. The military said Al-Minuki played central roles in terrorist financing, recruitment, logistics coordination and attack planning linked to ISIS operations targeting Nigeria and other countries. Other senior terrorist figures reportedly eliminated included Abd-al Wahhab, said to be responsible for coordinating attacks and propaganda activities for ISWAP, Abu Musa al-Mangawi, a senior operational commander, and Abu al-Muthanna al-Muhajir, identified as a senior media production manager and close associate of Al-Minuki. Military authorities stated that the successful operations had significantly disrupted ISIS leadership structures, operational coordination and external attack capabilities within the region. The Armed Forces of Nigeria further reiterated their commitment to sustaining joint operations with international partners to eliminate terrorist threats and restore lasting peace and stability in the North-East. The military high command added that efforts to track and neutralise fleeing insurgents and dismantle remaining terrorist enclaves were ongoing. |

izzou:Somebody that has gone on to call Atiku, "Unelectable"..Watched his interview and I just thank God for PO..Them for just rubbish am inside there..Dele Momodu was on ChannelsTV last night asking Amaechi to cool temper.. Don't know what Atiku has on someone like David Mark which makes it impossible for him to stand his ground..If Atiku doesn't believe in zoning, let him make himself president..

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 8:19am On May 20 |
CrystalTiger:If You know who David Mark was, you won't be wondering if Atiku had anything on him to make him(David Mark) serve only Atiku's interest. They literally belong to the same generation . David Mark was a military governor and minister for communications in the 80's under the military rule. That was the same time period Atiku rose to deputy comptroller of Customs and allegedly made his money. It's only normal for David Mark and Atiku to always come to an "understanding" before any other person has an opinion in a party spearheaded by both aforementioned. The connection is always there. |

izzou:My brother, as much as Arsenal dey give me joy for winning the EPL, things wey dey happen on our homefront dey bleed my heart ![]() I mentioned it here in the past that I've not travelled beyond Berger towards Lagos-Ibadan expressway since sometimes around 2017-2018 while Buhari was still there because of the activities of these terrorists kidnapping people on expressway. I fear for my life and that of my loved ones and decided to not tempt the devil since our government has chosen to be useless. Sometime in January this 2026 my wife's grandma was to be buried at RCCG burial ground at the Redeemed camp. I was literally scared journeying on the express with my own family and few family friends that joined us to celebrate the life of grandma with us. If not that my wife's parents are based abroad and we had to represent them, I swear I would've found an excuse not to attend even as an in-law. That is how much I don't trust our security agents in this country. The fact that there's so many under-policed/unpoliced areas in this country always make me scared . And then you have somebody here talking about Tinubu delegating security to Seyi makinde and other 36 governors despite not having the military & security agents under their control. Omo! No be everything supposed be cruise o. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by afrodoc2: 8:37am On May 20 |
BlueRayDick:One thing i have never fully supported is this sentiment that governors are chief security officers of their states. Chief security officers only in name but not controlling security forces. Even if that was the case this has gone beyond blaming state governors or LGA chairmen which is why Tinubu himself said the buck stops at the president's desk. You can't now become president and start redirecting buck to governors' desks. Buck sef no go gree comot. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 8:52am On May 20 |
afrodoc2:No matter the amount of security votes FG sends to governors monthly, the fact that state governors have no grip/control over security agencies there's really not much they can do . Anybody blaming governors and LGA chairman is just playing politics and nothing more. And politics is obviously not governance, while they are playing politics people keep getting abducted and maimed like that man that was beheaded. |

BlueRayDick:Saw his daughter that won the Benue APC ticket and was shocked to see he has a grown up adult like that.. Was actually thinking he'd be the one who can look Atiku in the eyes and tell him to calm down because he was once a two term Senate President, didn't even know that they've known each other for so long like you said.. |

MorataFC:Omo, if u get person wey dem don kidnap or u know a close person that lost his or her life to those dare devil guys u will understand my paranoia. I mentioned it here before that a friend's mum died from gunshot wounds from those Fulani herdsmen who blocked the express on that Akure expressway during Buhari's first term while the mum and dad were travelling. This is a woman that I know from my childhood years. That incident dey always make me fear to entrer express especially if it is not mandatory for me to travel. |

A40:Thank you, that’s the painful truth. Many people only react when d problem finally reach their doorstep, forgetting that ignoring warning signs is how nations gradually slide into deeper crisis, if everybody dey keep acting kò kàn mí, it is like we dey give the perpetrators morale to keep doing more. May God help us. |

MorataFC:I get u bro. It's just unfortunate how things have turned out. When I was serving in the north we dey go watch Champions league match on Tuesdays and Wednesdaya at viewing center till late in the night. We will leave viewing center around to 11 in the night after final whistle and would trek from viewing center to our school for nothing less than 40 minutes. We will be discussing the match we just watched while trekking from town to our school on the outskirts of the town. This is on an interstate road o. Few vehicles will pass by us while sometimes we may see one or two people riding their donkey or camels by the side of the road and we greet them sef. Na that same me wey dey fear to do simple interstate travel in broad daylight even within Southwest because of how bad things have now become as regards insecurity. |

So NASS members left LP to join APC with hope that they would enjoy the benefit of rigging to retain their seats Unfortunately, they were rigged out in the party primaries and are left stranded and licking their wounds. 😂 These were the people BAT used to pass questionable bills against the will of the people. Good riddance 😂 |
