Arsenal had finished 2nd three times in a row, Arteta had to adopt a pragmatic style of play and it has eventually rewarded him and the team.

So many memories. KANU 3 - Chelsea 2 game. That crazy 7- 5 FA Cup victory over Reading from losing 4 nil. The FA Cup final vs. Hull City from losing 2 nil.

Sad ones. 4 - 4 vs. Newcastle from leading 4 nil. The 8 - 2 loss at Old Trafford.

1999...We was following kanu nwankwo after Atlanta 1996, before then we had seen his work in Ajax with Finidi, Patrick Kluivert , Seedorf, Edgar Davids and co. After Atlanta we heard he went to Inter Milan to play with Ronaldo but his heart condition gave him some trouble so he was sold to Arsenal. At Arsenal, we were introduced to a gliterrati of players like Thierry Henry,Bergkamp,Overmars,Wiltord,Pires,Viera, Sol Campbell, Kolo Toure, Ljungberg, Nicolas Anelka, Ashley Cole etc...Back then people supported Arsenal because it had a higher propertion of black footballers in the premier league and was way ahead of it's time in terms of racial integration,sound football economics (Wenger will use 10million pounds and buy 15 players and most from africa),gameplay ( the first club to play tiki taka before Barcelona), tactics (anybody in the team can score) and general football support vibe...

Supporting and watching Arsenal FC used to be enjoyable but then online banter with rival fans made the Arsenal fc fandom to become obsessed with winning the EPL.

Now that they have won the EPL [many times playing atrocious football under Mikel Arteta] .What next?

Even Adebayor fell in love with Arsenal because of Kanu. My first memory of anything club football was in 92-93 or there about. Our Neighbor who schooled in London had about 5-6 Video tapes of Arsenal seasons in the early 90s. Players like David Platt,Ray Parlour Winterburn, Tony Adams, and the main man then Ian Wright. We never understood anything then because , na highlights. U will just see Ian Wright banging goals anyhow. Na country football I been understand by then. It was years later I understood it. Na my School friends later make me Choose Man Utd. Congratulations Arsenal 🍾💥🤍
