Decision: Send my brother to Canada or invest in business in Nigeria? Which one makes more sense?
My Brother, I will advise you, please Invest That Money In Nigeria Stock Market And Thank Me, Much Later.

If you no get 100million naira, please avoid travelling outside Nigeria, unless you want NÁIJACOVER, to carry your bad news here.

Nigeria is pieces of shit man

Send your bro to canada
He can easily rake 20 million in a good year in Canada if he's lucky and focused but Nigeria can sink that money
Even if he managed to build a stable business here the amount of money he can make in While in Canada can't be compared

Counterigbolies:
I will tell u categorically that's it's just a gamble

Either way u do it, it's a gamble but I will advise u based on d following

What's your relationship with your brother?

Hope he's the serious type n ready to hustle through storms to make it?

If yes

Hope he's not obsessed with women because when he starts getting into relationship he might change n place d lady over u all in the name of building his own family?

If u are sending him abroad, just see it as if u are doing it for God n not expecting a possible return (though he might do u well but don't put your hope on it)

On the other hand, doing business in Nigeria is really not guaranteed because the economy is shaky and right now it's a 50-50 chance.

So it's based on your instinct to judge whatever u want to do

As for sending your brother abroad, check past events n try to access who he is n d kind of person he is based on past dealings n how he handles things.

As for investing in Nigeria, check your area of strength n check if u can manage n supervise it to yield results
You Haven't said anything either.

Delay the going to Canada until the 15 my x5
Instead will research on how to x10 the money and then create an experimental system around it, will tell my brother to work with me on it in order to earn the money to travel to Canada. That is what I am presently doing with www.newbreed.com.ng and in the process of registering a company in the US for it before getting investors from the likes of baobab network, antler among others

15M to relocate to Canada? How?

What route will that be??

Don't start what you cannot finish.

15M is far from enough to relocate to Canada o

Start a business for him.
He can use some of the proceeds and travel if he is prudent and still keep his business afloat!

What is he going to Canada to do ?
What skills does he has
What qualifications does he has
What visa is he using to travel
Do you have a relative there for his soft landing pending when he get a job
Or is he going there to start a job with a company in Canada that can give him all the permits he needs .

Send him to Canada as what exactly?

Student (insufficient funds/ living expense)
PR( if this, then yes send him abroad + he will not need all the money)- if he has his PR already, he can land and need funds for about 4-6 months to support himself.
Visitor/tourist- hussle( bad idea, please don't)

Please note that abroad does not mean automatic success..

Again a lot of students who goes to Canada ofteb fail to secure PR

Secondly 15m can't take u to Canada through school except scholarship or express entry....

if u still want education rout then he should plan well. Get a course in Health care field that will give him an edge to secure job after study then he can apply for PR using Canada experience etc as this will boost his score.

But be again 15m can't run this as he might pay his fees from Nigeria, pay his rent from Nigeria. I have seen people not getting work for up to a year in Canada
I have seen 3 years my uncle.

Re: Decision: Send My Brother To Canada Or Invest In Business In Nigeria? by Swanberry:
This kind of decision needs wisdom, not pressure from people. First, seek divine direction.

Honestly, I wouldn’t advise putting the full ₦15M into either option immediately.

For business in Nigeria:
Don’t invest blindly. Let him first develop skills, learn the trade, and start small with maybe ₦1M–₦2M to test and gain experience before pumping bigger money. You can keep the rest in a low-risk money market investment or the Nigerian Stock Market for Now.

For Canada:
People underestimate the cost. ₦15M may not even be enough to relocate and live comfortably for 2–3 months, and there’s no guarantee of getting a job immediately.

The real question is:
What skills does he have to make money anywhere?

I’ve done business in Nigeria and also lived abroad. One thing I can say is both paths require patience. There’s no magic country.

Build skills first, then make long-term moves wisely. He can even start learning French now which may later open better PR pathways to Canada legally and strategically.

But his brother can survive if it’s determined
I know someone that has just been in Canada for two years plus let’s say seven months and he has bought a 35 million naira house in Festac

Just send him to Canada and if he’s the serious type, you will not regret it you won’t regret sending him to Canada

You owe no one. There's nothing like ingrate. You came to life differently. It's entitlement that makes people think someone else has to do something for them. No one owes you anything, the earlier you learn that and know that, the easier for you to not be disappointed in this life. In fact, it will make you appreciate what you take for granted because an ingrate is not usually grateful for what they get for free.

Are we not seeing first borns now complaining that they are bearing responsibilities or regretting that they could have spent that money on themselves but gave it back and it never stops? Be real. Our society is communal and all of that but people take that association for granted but if you die today, they will find a way to live without you. That should tell you a lot. You are not indepsensable. Life can and will move on with or without you.

We are talking of serious issues you are bringing up 50cents and his useless son.
Oga we all owe people just as they owe us, it could be as simple as gratitude.
I know of a man that gave up his village scholarship slot for his cousin, after that the scholarship programs was stopped. That guy went on to be a successful lawyer, sanator and millionaire. I knew one time the guy took his cousin around some ministries trying to empower him. I remember my late father buying a brand new suv and driving it to his friend's house and handing over the keys expressing gratitude that when they were teens it was that man that introduced him to the British gentleman through which he stated life and ended up very successful.
So my sibling becomes wealthy tomorrow and you say asking him go give me some business or even money makes me entitled? Or my brother lives in Eg Canada, I call him to take my child and put him in school over there if he can afford to, you then say it is entitlement? Hang on, this op uses his hard earned 15m to send his sibling abroad, few years down the line he then faces hard times here in naija, he calls his brother for help, the brother he sent to Canada then calls him entitled saying he owes no one?
The same thing is currently happening to men who will use all their resources to train kids, he will starve and deprive himself to educate his kids, then at the end of the day the child says his father is entitled when he is old and cannot earn an income. Anyway that is why lots of men have said they will never put themselves in a position that will require kids to support them in their old age, before they say they owe their parents nothing.
There are people I will call and they will answer me so too there are those who will call me and that call must be answered and within my best capacity go our of my way to solve their issues.
How can siblings be talking of entitlement, people from the same womb? Omo, they were no brought up well.
