A Federal High Court has just thrown a lifeline to recent losers of the primaries, because the court has ruled that INEC’s May 10 deadline for parties to submit their membership register contravenes the 2026 Electoral Act Now, those politicians are free to decamp to other parties. Who even knows whether Atiku would decamp to the NDC 🤣😂 |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:47pm On May 21 |
PDPGuy:What if you decamp, and INEC overturns it at the Appeal court? Another wahala ![]() |

izzou:Ours courts have mastered the art of throwing our entire political/ economic climate into more confusion than normal. Another court will deliver another judgement on this same issue.. Just watch! |

🪖Federal Government asked States of the Federation to recruit Forest Guards through the office of National Security Adviser (ONSA) so they can be properly Armed and regulated, Some states including those in the South West have refused to do so. WE NEED TO HOLD THE STATE GOVERNORS IN THEIR JUGULAR © @Pressman2040 |

Amoto94:You guys are trying so hard to remove the blame of insecurity from Tinubu. When Tinubu was saying the buck stops at the table of the president, I guess he wasn't planning on becoming president then. This habit of people saying all manner of shît when in opposition only to get elected and start giving stories is becoming very annoying. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 10:04pm On May 21 |
TemporaryHansel:It's just annoying. How will forest guards face criminal Fulani militia and Boko Haram heavily armed with automatic weapons like AK 47, AK 49, RPG and the likes? Tinubu himself said the buck stops on the president's table to make arrangements with relevant intelligence agencies and the military authorities to combat terrorism. How people will just wake and start making excuse for Tinubu to absolve him of incompetence is just so annoying. We have a DSS that should be using the security intelligence at their disposal to not just foil terrorist imminent attacks, but also prevent any potential attack. We also have a military that should be taking the fight to these terrorists to take them.out of business. All of these are within the control and supervision of the president, yet we keep hearing stories from those bent on absolving the president of all blame at all times 🤦♂️ |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by PDPGuy: 10:28pm On May 21 |
izzou:Abi oh 😂😅 Na siddon look mode sure pass till Supreme Court talk their own Besides, I don’t think the NDC, for instance, will extend the deadline (which has already passed) for the purchase/submission of the party’s nomination and expression of interest forms |

TemporaryHansel:FACT NOT FICTION ✅✅✅ Why Northern Vigilantes Bear Sophisticated Weapons While Amotekun Cannot. The Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) has publicly confirmed that it arms trained vigilantes and hybrid forces as part of Nigeria's counter-terrorism strategy. This is lawful under the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act, 2022, and part of the National Counter-Terrorism Strategy (NACTEST). The same model was used successfully with the Civilian Joint Task Force in the North-East. These armed vigilantes are not independent militias. They are integrated with regular security forces, vetted by intelligence agencies, and operate under military oversight. Why the South-West can benefit from the same model. The Forest Guards initiative was launched by President Tinubu in May 2025 through ONSA. Over 7,000 Forest Guards have already graduated and been deployed across seven frontline states, including Borno, Sokoto, Niger, and Kwara. They are trained, armed, and deployed immediately indigenes of their communities leveraging terrain familiarity. Here is your solution for Amotekun to bear Sophisticated arms: The South-West Governors should either: ✅Convert Amotekun to the Forest Guard framework under ONSA, which automatically grants authority to bear sophisticated weapons; OR ✅ Amend the Amotekun law to formally accommodate Forest Guards with modern weapons under NSA oversight, as former Ondo Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi has repeatedly urged. The legal path exists. The federal framework exists. The South-West simply needs to walk through the door. Ondo lawmaker Olatunji Ifabiyi has said it plainly: "They cannot continue to bear old weapons while fighting enemies with lethal weapons and AK-47; we should not deceive ourselves". The North has armed vigilantes because they followed the federal framework. The South-West can have Armed Amotekun/Forest Guards the exact same way by plugging into the existing ONSA-coordinated structure. STOP COMPLAINING. START IMPLEMENTING. © @Pressman2040 |

What stops the office of the NSA from approving arms for Amotekun? So until they change the name to "Forest guard", before they can bear arms? Na name go suddenly provide security? SW governors should go and arm Amotekun and let all these nonsense killings stop |
